You've got lots of followers here already!
(And what a coincidence -- my interests also include The Whole Universe. I'm sure that, after a few years of ruling the LW boards, I'll get bored and want to expand my horizons a bit.)

'fraid not Lash. From what I've been able to gather he's legit. Or someone has gone a long way (including spoofing or outright stealing an e-mail address) to have some fun.

He just joined the LMBP YahooGroup, as well.

So refresh my memory Lash. Which issues of the Legion did he work on?

Nasser's work appears in those S/LSH issues after it became a giant-size monthly back in the late 70s.
Specifically, I remember a very bizarre tale involving Princess Projectra slipping into a coma and Cham, Nura and Imra trying to save her. Very surreal art.

Ah, bells ringing. This is a page I'll always remember, from SLSH #225 A Matter of Priorities, the backup story:

Nasser and Sherman alternated (and shared) issues back in the '70's. Nasser was (IMO) one of the top Legion artists. My all time favorite Nasser Legion job is the solo Mon-El story (inked by Joe Rubinstein)from S/LSH..? (somebody help me with the issue number).
BTW, that Projectra story was plotted by Nasser and inked by Bob Layton as I recall.
In addition to Legion and the Challengers, Nasser did some great work (with Terry Austin) on some of the back-up features in Detective Comics and World's Finest(Green Arrow and Martian Manhunter come to mind). He also did a great job on Kobra (including the final Kobra story where Kobra has his twin brother murdered).
The guy is some artist!
Mike

Mr. Nasser also shared the work with Mr. Abel in the backup story in SLSH #230 in which Chuck regained his powers. A lot of work that has fond memories for me but from a time when I probably didn't pay much attention to the names of the creators.
BTW macrab2, the Mon-El story was Mon-El's One Man War from SLSH #236.

Sherman and Nasser rotating the Legion... those certainly WERE the days...
It just now occurs to me... didn't Nasser draw the death of Chemical King, S/LSH 228...?

James Sherman and Jack Abel were the credited artists on that story. I probably would have remembered Nasser had he done that one since it involved my second favorite Legionnaire.

Ah! Thanks for the reminder.
Even Abel's inks couldn't completely erase the stylized pencils of Nasser and Sherman, although they DID generic-fy them somewhat.
IIRC, Abel inked some of Nasser's CHALLENGERS stories too...
