Yes, it's that time again! There are (or will be) plenty of other threads on which to post comments about the candidates or election. I would like to keep this thread a simple list of candidates so we can refer to it easily when preparing the ballot. The launching of your own campaign threads, however, is strongly encouraged  <font size="5">RULES</font s>1) Only self nominations will be accepted. If you want someone to run, twist their arm into declaring their candidacy and get them to post on this thread. 2) Any poster/ID may run. BUT if you choose to have multiple IDs of your own run that's your business - you are more likely to steal or dilute your own vote total in doing so as anything else. Please sign your posts with your non-Titan names, if you've changed for the Event!3) Candidacy declarations will commence as soon as the official thread is posted and will close between Midnight and 2am UK time on Tuesday the 21st of September. 4) The poll will be available for voting (in the Vote-O-Matic) within one hour of nominations closing and will remain open until 2am (UK time) Wednesday the 29th of September. 5) Each person will have two votes. Please do NOT vote with more than one ID. 6) If there is a clear winner in terms of the number of votes cast when the poll closes, that person will be elected LMBP Leader, and the person in second, or people in joint-second will be deputies. 7) If there is a two-way tie for the lead when the poll closes, they will become co-leaders, and the person in third, or people in joint-third will be deputies. 8) If there is a three or more way tie for the lead when the poll closes, then there will be a run-off poll between those candidates only, and each person will have only one vote. If more than six posters tie, some random as-yet-to-be-determined criteria will be used to narrow the field before the run-off. 9) Big Red Text is a proven means of winning  10) If there is no run-off, the Handover of Power and Inaugural Ball will take place on Thursday the 30th of September, in the new leader's building. 11) HAVE FUN, and let the games begin!

Brothers, sisters, we live in an age of unprecedented technological development. The UP has brought together different species from different planets. We live in a galactic society. But throughout the galaxy we see the same problems. Workers are exploited while fat cats like Leland McCauley live in obscene wealth. In a system that is meant to uphold sentients' rights, the leaders and beneficiaries of that system use their power to deny others these same rights. Humans should take special consideration here. What sort of interplanetary economic system allows an individual to buy and own planet's only moon? Let alone to strip-mine it! This is the same man who was President of the United Planets! The man who was in charge of keeping the galaxy safe. He created bigger threats than he protected us from, as those of you who met Mano would know. Capitalism is an outmoded system on Earth and throughout the galaxy, just as it was a thousand years ago. We can do better. Join me.
Oh, sorry, I thought this was for U.P. president. What does the Legion message board president do? Does it need someone to help bring about sweeping reforms?
