Should we be worried by the cryptic comment by Didio to Kitson in the DC Nation page of this week's books? The conceit of the column is that Didio is returning phone calls to creators and putting out hints about what they're working on. For the message to Barry Kitson, he says:
"When the future ends, the villains begin."
Uh oh... does this mean either that Kitson will be leaving LSH to work on something else, or worse, that the series will end?
Barry? Anyone?

The impression I got from the comment was that when Barry's tenure on the Legion was up, he'd be doing something focusing on "villains" (a Secret Six ongoing, perhaps?)

I recall both Mark and Barry saying that they would love to do more of Empire if they ever got the time.
Maybe that time is at hand.

well, that would explain why Barry seems to be doing only covers and layouts on each issue... and Waid sharing scripting duties. seems like our creators are getting more and more distant with each issue. don't forget our editor is gone too.
Barry, are you going to be doing any more interior pencils in the near future?

I'm under the impression that Barry's interior work would resume once his hand heals (which it already has awhile back), thus Barry's art should be back next issue.
As for the future, only Barry or Mark can answer that.

I just caught this comment and came here to post a thread about it...but I see I wasn't the first!  I interpreted it as meaning that there would be a new project for Barry when he ends his Legion run. Perhaps something like Secret Six or Secret Society of Super Villains. I didn't get the impression that it foretold the end of the LSH comic, though I can see how it could be read that way. Lets hope not anyway.

Well people keep mentioning George Perez in relation to the LSH(even Barry in a post here I think). Smoke and fire go together but it'll be quite a few months before that could happen with B&tB just starting up.

Hi Guys Sorry not to have been able to respond sooner - I'm back doing full interiors on Legion for the foreseeable future - and trying VERY hard to make sure there won't be any fill-ins  I don't want to miss ANY of the next big ark!
