Giant shadow, huh? Could Colossal Boy be a traitor? I hope not. It's bad enough that (not-in-the-post-boot) Sun Boy has quit. It would really suck if (killed-too-soon-in the post-boot) Gim Allon was gone too.

You always seem to have such a clear vision of your covers from the get-go. Is this a result of a conversation from the creative team as a whole, or is it all inspiration?

Usually Steve Wacker will suggest the subject matter for a cover - basically who to feature and what type of approach to take (action shot, montage, symbolic etc). Then I spend a lot of time doodling and thinking around the subject until I hit upon a theme or basic design idea I think will look good. That's when I really start work on thumbnails to show Steve. It changes from cover to cover - sometimes I do lot more variables than others.

Barry, I say this every month but, gorgeous as usual. I'd really love just to see a B&W collection by you one day.
And I love the evolution of the cover. Honestly when I first saw the completed one I didn't get the fact that Kara was the last Legionnaire standing. I got more the feeling she just finished mopping the floor with them, not standing by their side.

Yet again I find myself drawn to the pencil and b/w inked versions more that the coloured one.
I think this is one of the best looking Supergirls I have seen in a long time.
