Actually, Vee dear, I did offer. Here Connie... I sent for one of the extra cushiony pillows from my bedroom suite so that you would be more comfortable on my lap. And if you should feel the urge to claw the pillow, feel free

Faraway enter's the convention hall as delegate for those so far away they arrive too late to take part.
Leans over to Spellbinder, "Princess, you remember that rather horrible dank cave come bunker thing we found under legion world a while back? Well I was passing through on the way here and I found a load of manifesto papers and tubs of rocky road ice cream. whats going on?"

Whatever constitution you all draft, please take note:
When the Directorate of External Affairs (tm) was chartered in 2004, it was set up as a completely autonomous entity with ME as its permanent director.
As Section 47 was never challenged within 30 days of its adoption, it remains in full effect. It says, "No subsequent laws, rules, regulations, ordinances, policies or covenants or any other form of legislation shall apply to the Directorate or any of its officers, employees, designees, policies or finances" without acceptance by the Directorate's governing board.
Ergo, the Directorate shall remain perpetually grandfathered from any impacts your constitution may seek to impose.
You may now resume your regular activities.

You may now resume your regular activities. When the LMB Constitution is ratified (in days, week, months, or even YEARS for that matter...) it will supersede all preexisting LMB documents, laws, and statutes. While I don't expect the Directorate of External Affairs to be affected (per se,) I would not count on any documents written pre-Constitution to have any legal weight. And just exactly who notarized that one, BTW?

A permanant oversight commission for the Office of Security is to be established. It is a three member committee with the sole power to issue warrants. They must vote on each one before CK is enabled to go on one of his jaunts.
The commissioners are to be Luna, Caliente and a third to be named by Kid Prime.
Secondly
I am to be recognized as the delegate representing the Provisional New LMB. I will accept your change in delegate status. As for the other condition, clearly that is a constitutional matter to be debated in open forum. I have no authority to grant pre-constitutional powers in this manner. That's what the convention is for. You may present your arguments when the convention reconvenes tomorrow.

I appear to be late. Oh well.
All my LMB darlings, you simply cannot expect to have any success with this constitution-thing without my staggering political acumen. Therefore, I present myself once again at all your disposal, ready and willing to work tirelessly for all the sentients willing to march under my banner!

Dear LMBP,
As a former member, I am very concerned about the outcome of this convention. I'd like to express my sincere hope that you are unable to band together and slowly, albeit quietly, fall apart. Hard feelings toward each other would be greatly appreciated.
In the meantime, come visit me at Takron-Galtos sometime. While the Inquisitor might have a wedding planned when you next visit him, I'd love for your visit to me to result in a funeral.
And *snicker* I hope all those poor innocents are recuperating from the bee-stings.
Regards,
Red Bee
PS- Hope Faraway is enjoying his pint and doesn't forget to take it everyday. Hate to see him slip back into his coma...

This is due to the fact that some of these intermediaries must be sacrificed to a variety of anabolic functions in the expectant mother and .... Ahem Caliente honey, could you explain the line of dialogue under discussion here?

To the People of Legion World:
AFTER an unequivocal experience of the inefficiency of the subsisting LMB government, you are called upon to deliberate on a new Constitution for the LMB. The subject speaks its own importance; comprehending in its consequences nothing less than the existence of LEGION WORLD, the safety and welfare of the parts of which it is composed, the fate of an empire in many respects the most interesting in the galaxy. It has been frequently remarked that it seems to have been reserved to the people of this planet, by their conduct and example, to decide the important question, whether societies of sentients are really capable or not of establishing good government from reflection and choice, or whether they are forever destined to depend for their political constitutions on accident and force. If there be any truth in the remark, the crisis at which we are arrived may with propriety be regarded as the era in which that decision is to be made; and a wrong election of the part we shall act may, in this view, deserve to be considered as the general misfortune of sentient life.
