Well a few of you already know what I have to say. But the time has come for me to go ahead and tell everyone what has been happening with me.
Long story short, tomorrow morning bright and early I will be on the operating table.
I have been ignoring my body's way of saying something was wrong. I have been chalking up some cramping as 'early menapause' and ignoring it. Agonizing pain had me wake up Scott with moans and near screams about 3 o'clock in the morning of July 7th. A cat-scan and external and internal ultrasound verified the presence of a softball size tumor on my right ovary. An OB/GYN surgeon attempted to perform biopsies of the uterus and cervix in the office on the 11th. He found so much scarring and stenosis that he was unable to complete the procedure. (Mostly I think he was afraid my screams of pain were scaring off all his pregnant patients in the waiting room.)
So, fearing that it may be ovarian cancer and may or may not also involve the other female organs, I'm going into surgery. At the least will be removal of the tumor, the ovary and the fallopian tube on the right side. At the most they would open me up abdomenally and remove all of the organs and perhaps the lymph nodes as well.
Best case scenario is recovery in 2-4 weeks. Worst case is 8-10 weeks. Worse then that would be having chemo after healing.
How I am going to care for my invalid mother, let alone keep up with Scott is going to be interesting. But I don't have a choice, so this is what we are facing. I will not even know what they had to do to me until I wake up. I am signing a waiver for the worst, and hoping for the best.
Anyway, I am NOT fishing for sympathy and I do not want to make anyone feel bad. But it was pointed out to me by Blue Battler that I have a great many friends and well-wishers in Legion World and that I owe them the trust of telling them. And he is right, of course.
What I will ask is that you spare me a few positive vibrations for the next while, and that you support poor Scott as much as you can. He has had to go through so much between me and my parents, and he did not deserve to have this happen on top of everything else.
Please no one try to pick a fight with Scott or to piss him off in any way because he may seem quiet, but he cannot take any more stress.
So, with that I will go and take some more pain pills. Darvocet is my friend right now
So, everyone be good and take care of each other, and I will be back in the swing of things as soon as I can. Hugs and kisses all around!

Caroline,
You are getting all my positive energy starting now. Get well. It says a lot about you that in the midst of all you are going through your thoughts and concerns turn to others (Scott and your mother)

Caroline, You are in my thoughts and my prayers. You know that we're all behind you and Scott all the way.

I guess without the dark we wouldn't be able to appreciate the light. That's about the only cliche' that I like. It doesn't help when you're going through intense pain in your life, though.
I'm so sorry, Caroline.
God and Goddess grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change; courage to change the things we can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Bless you, my sister, my brother, my friends.

I wish you all the best too, and I hope you recover quickly. It must be very difficult going into surgery, I know I would be very, very nervous at the thought of it, so be strong. I hope you get better soon!

Caroline,
You don't have to be Saturn Girl to know you are in our thoughts and prayers (as is Scott)!
You just concentrate on getting better!!

Sending much love and energy your way, Caroline. Lord knows, you've sent *me* more than enough throughout my MiSadventures. We're all pulling for you. (And Scooter, too! It's tough being sick, but I think it's just as tough loving someone who's sick, and not being able to do more for them. for you too, buddy!)

Caroline
Hope Scott got the email and I hope you know you are in Jennifer and my thoughts. I hope the news is good, but no matter what you have our love and best wishes. As for Scott, dont worry about him, anyone ticks him off and they will have me to deal with.
I'm away for the weekend but will be thinking of you.
Lots of love.

I'll reiterate what I've said elsewhere and hope for all safety and speed for your upcoming procedure, and I'm sending all my (good) thoughts to you and Scott.

Beyond adding my best wishes for your recovery -- and I'm sorry I missed reading all this before you went into your operation -- I should also note that ovarian cancer is unlikely, among the possibilities for what you have.
I am not a physician, but I did go through this with my mother. It appears you're having it treated quite promptly, which is an advantage my mother did not have -- it had not only grown greatly, but had metastasized (spread to her uterus and elsewhere) before her own operation. She made it through several years after that, nonetheless.
... Not as much comfort, perhaps, but there's a lot ahead for you, that I know. You have a loving, caring husband and many friends, and we're going to watch out for you. It's Bastille Day, and this is the perfect occasion to be fighting back!

By the time you read this, you're on the road to recovery! At the very least, that horrible pain will be gone.
Bastille Day is a pretty good day for an operation. Off with that tumour!
Holding you in the light.

Best of wishes. You are receiving so much positive energy from us that the FCC will think the overflow is a pirate radio station!
