Okay, still a little while before I can get the actual solicitation info but, for now, here is the most important part. The cover. Should cause quite a stir. S P O I L E R S P A C E Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes #21Written by Mark Waid and Tony Bedard, art by Barry Kitson, Adam DeKraker and Mick Gray, cover by Kitson. The Legion struggles against the mighty giants of Colossal Boy's hometown! And with Brainiac's resurrection plan in action, can the Legion trust him to play god? 32 pages, $2.99, in stores on Aug. 23.

Wow great cover. But does that mean Nura's back or simply that Brainy is obsessing over her memory

Nura is back but only 1' tall! No doubt Imskian technology plays a role in it!

I reckon if supergirl thinks this is all a dream then the way she gets to and from the 21st to the 31st century is going to be somehow bound up in Nura's powers/apparent death. Sort of, when Nura goes into a death like coma, Kara pops into the 31st century and when Nura walks up Kara goes home.

Future dialogue: "Popping Planets! We could really use Supergirl in this mission! Quick, let's put Dream Girl into a death-like coma!"

I see scenes of a running joke where large structures are constantly dropped on Nura's head.

They could just use Gastric Rumble Boy instead.

So where does that leave Dream Boy if she really does come back?
Oh, who cares? I want Nura back ASAP!
Wait. I have to wait 3 months for this? I'll never make it.

Well, you guys keep an eye out for the actual solicit text. I have to take Caroline's mom to a doctor appointment so I won't be around when the solicitations are officially released in an hour and 45 minutes.

She's found her calling, remember? To summon Supergirl, you just have to activate the special signal watch, which ultrasonically commands a set of Legionnaire statuettes (anatomically correct!) in Shady's room to start flashing, whereupon she races out to find Nura and clock her one. It's simple!

Seriously, it would be very interesting to see how Brainy dealt with it if Supergirl and Nura could never be active simultaneously (and if he retains his historic attraction to Kara.) Agonies of indecision or joyful research into pimpology?

I wonder why Tony Bedard is co-writing this issue.

This is the second straight solicitation with a co-credit for Tony Bedard.
Probably just adding slack capacity just in case work gets bogged down when summer schedules get juggled for vacations and such. The delivery schedule for 52 is pretty unforgiving.

Hopefully we'll see Brainy before #21 as well.
Maybe the Nura thing will be like Kenny and die at the end of each issue?
Honestly, it's good to see her back, but something is going to be wrong. Something else else has to be wrong. Not just because fate isn't that forgiving, neither are writers, and it wouldn't be as funny otherwise.

Sweet. I'm happy to see Nura on the cover despite the not-too-subtle religious iconography.
As for the co-writing, I think Waid started The Brave and the Bold with Perez, too, so he's got a lot on his plate now. I'm just grateful we haven't had the repeated delays some other books have suffered. I don't know Bedard's work but if he's funny, all the better.
