Hope it goes well Chuck! I can't help but feel that this was all a plot by Stoopid Cat that never reached fruition until now though.

Okay, so it's done, I'm still a little groggy and the pain meds are kicking in, but the surgery is over with and the BCC is completely gone according to the Doctor.
So now I'm stting here with half my face covered in a big old honkin' bandage wondering if the cute nurse was kidding when she told me I'd have a scar that looked like the New York Yankees logo under my right eye.
It's too long of a story for my limited brainpower to tell right now...

Do you think you'll don a Ferro Lad mask?
And with the bandage you can do the whole Elephant Man quote. "I'm not an animal! I am a man!"
PS: I'm glad the surgery went well.

PS: I'm glad the surgery went well. Took exactly one post for us to remember not to take this sympathy geck too far! If he can get someone to airbrush the bandages, he might make a good Tharok?

Fingers crossed for ya Chuck.
My father in law had/has something similar (don't know if it's the same) from time spent abroad in the RAF in the 50s / 60s. He's had three ops so far, about an inch below his left eye, the last of which was about 2 months ago. Hopefully they've got it all this time. And hopefully they've got all of yours first time.

I'm glad to here it's over. I hope the caught it all. How long were you in hospital for. Were you just a day patient or did you stay in the night before and after?
Hope you feel better.
...
And I thought of The Unknown Soldier, not the Elephant man....Hope that helps.

Glad to hear you are doing alright. My dad had a melanoma in situ removed from his scalp a year ago (he's had some basal cell carcs too, but this was more serious). It took the doctor and the resident and the intern to stretch his scalp tight enough to sew up. He could barely close his right eye for a few weeks. That night, after the surgery, he had the worst headache of his life, and then yakked because of an allergic reaction to the codeine pain killer. Good times, good times. So, just remember, it could always be worse.
P.S. I think the Ferro Lad mask is an awesome idea! You could imagine a whole line of masks for comic fans who've had facial surgery--Ferro Lad, Iron Man, Doctor Doom, Green Goblin, Wildfire, Mysterio, Starfinger...the mind boggles. There might be something of a market here.
...but you don't have a moment where you're sitting there staring at a table full of twenty-five characters with little name signs that say, "Hi, my superpower is confusing you!"
