Not far from the battle, new leader Caliente helps her friend Lard Lad sit down. She tries to comfort him but she has other concerns at the moment.

Sending a priority message to all LMBPers, she hopes her voice doesn't betray her nerves. She's leader now... whatever that means.

Calling all members, this is your, uh, leader, Caliente. It's Wednesday and you know what that means-- crisis time. The streets are filled with Supergirl robots attacking unnamed civilians and the threat of more zombies is likely very real.

We're facing a new threat called the Five Faces of Death, Vee has disappeared and the Royal Inquisitor is still on the loose. Now more than ever we need to band together and fight to keep our world safe.

I'm sending you my position now. Legion World needs your help once again, team. Don't let her down.

Cali looks at Lardy and sighs. "I hope they come. And I hope we can do something for Hugh... and Frio." She shakes her head. "How'd it all fall apart so fast..?"

Okay Cali, I'm here... For whatever that's worth...

Pagan and SC are resting comfortably but neither has regained consciousness yet, there's nothing I can do for them but wait, and hope, and pray.

So what do you need destroyed...

Faraway Lad lands next to Caliente and sees for the first time that Lardy is in pain.

Rushing past Cali he kneels next to his friend, “Lardy old boy, what’s up. I have to admit I’ve seen you looking better than this”

Lard Lad raises his head and smiles. “that’s effin true Far, I feel like death warmed up”

“True Lardy, some of those Zombies out there look livelier that you do. Rest here a moment buddy”

Faraway turns to Caliente

“OK leader, you got two of us (well two and a half counting Lardy) whats the battle plan?

Caliente, you can count on the Royal Family of Psyonia to stand with you. I can also offer you the support of the Psyonian Guard, and the Psyonian Council of Mages.

Caliente, I am also ready to assist in any way you deem necessary.

However, because most of your people will immediately distrust anything and everything I do, I shall act only when you give me direct orders to do so.

Welcome to the joys of leadership. I hope you survive your first few days...

I'm here too Cali. The battle on the streets is contiuning and we're making gains against the zombies as well as the robots in the sky.

“Abin LOOK OUT” Shouts Faraway as from out of the air shoots beams of high energy carving a deep path in the ground towards Abin as a supergirl robot attacks.

** Tamper opens the box in his position to check his luck. Seeing Schroedinger's cat alive he smiles. **

We do not have time for that. Abin, I'm glad to hear Pagan Lass and Stoopid Cat are recovering. If you would be so kind as to shield us with your ring from any further attacks from on high, I'd be most appreciative.

<looks at her team and takes a deep breath>

Thank you all for coming. I guess I better do this leader thing.

As you may or may not be aware, Lard Lad's robot Clive actually has a piece of Hugemanbreast's soul inside of him. During the battle, this piece of the 'bot reached out to him and gave him information on our foes.

Apparently the Five Faces of Death has been orchestrating this attack on Legion World. The Five Faces consist of Computer Tyrant who is an entity from Earth that has taken over Clive, Slim who we know has a vendetta against Cobalt Kid, Shenu who's responsible for our zombie situation--

<pats Lardy's shoulder gently>

--the once thought dead Angra Metternich and The Empress who was once our teammate Frio. These five have set their sights on Legion World and the LMBP. For some of us, it's personal. But we're all of us going to have to work together to stop them. And maybe, just maybe, save Clive and Frio. If we still can.

Crujectra, thank you for the offer of assistance. The Psyonian Guard would be useful in rebuffing the onslaught of attacks from zombies, Supergirl robots and whatever else they send at us.

Cobie, I think the Security Office could be most useful searching for Vee and the Royal Inquisitor. From what I understand, Roy was the last one to be seen with Vee before he was struck comatose and subsequently disappeared. Of course, it's your office and ultimately your decision but I worry there may be some sort of connection.

Now, we need a team to find the Five Faces themselves.

Tamper, since you're out of suffragettes, start running the numbers. We need to know what our best line of defense against them is. And if we don't have one, make one. Please.

Gary, I want you in the search team. Though I loathe to admit it, you know Frio at least as well as I and are more familiar with the changes that have come over her. If there's any chance of saving her, I think you may be it.

Everyone else-- I won't order you to go. They're five of the strongest villains we've ever seen and we've yet to see them work together. But I will ask.

Abin, Faraway, I trust you guys to keep Gary in line and take care of him if he proves untrustworthy. Cru, if one of the mages or sorcerers could go, I'd feel a lot more confident sending them in. Even that snarky cat would do... And, Cobie, you're a much stronger tactician than I am-- we could really use your expertise. And maybe Everyday Girl's guns or that Rex guy's weird powers, too.

So, what do you say guys? And has anyone seen my deputy? I though he was supposed to do all the work...

I would be happy to assist as needed, my lady. But, please, my powers, depleted as they are at the moment may seem a bit mysterious to some (though I'm surprised they aren't easily recognized here of all places) but I hardly think they deserve to be called "weird."

You do well, fair one. Though I was rather crude to you earlier, I fully support you now. You show great leadership, and it does my heart well to see a new face rise amongst the LMB as leader. Know that we all support your efforts and I shall gladly lend a hand.

I agree. And I think its time we found the Inquisitor, at least for Quis' sake.

Brittney, for some reason the Inquisitor not only trusts you, he outright likes you. I think perhaps you and My Whee Fem should lead the charge and find him. I've checked every avenue available to us. He's no longer on Legion World. Rockhopper Lad is also missing, and I believe he's with the Inquisitor. Hrun, also, left me a strange note, though that's not uncommon (heh, I remember that one about invading Taltar...).

But like it or not, you've somehow inherited your uncle Stoopid Cat's best attribute. You can get pretty much into anywhere you choose. Take My Whee Fem and a few other security officers and try and figure out where they are.

You're right about this being personnal. On many levels. I won't let it effect me, but I hope I'm there when we find Slim.

In the meantime, finding Vee might be the hardest thing of them all. But Vee has one of the most important connections in all the universe--to the Variable realm. The last team he went missing, the world almost ended as a result of Crisis. Him going missing is never a good thing. He should be found immediately. We might need a small team to lead The Search for Varalent. Since you've designated that to me Cali, I'll find one or two more LMBers to help me, but I'll try not to spread us too thin...(grife, how in the hell am I going to do that?)...

Ohmygod! Fuzzball is like so Not my uncle, he's a CAT for Crystal's Sake! And just cuz the boys have the control codes for the tesseract system doesn't mean that I can get in anywhere on Legion World. And when were you gonna tell me that Mr. Hrun was back on his feet? Last I knew he was in a coma at SHAKES! I didn't know you sent him out again! What the heck were you thinking? The man was almost dead and you send him off into the Scary Damn Woods!?!?

Why don't we just send a small team to find where the Computer whatzit is transmitting the override code from. Another group can keep the little dolls busy down here. Once the team gets to the Computer and blocks the signal so that the bots be the sweet life sized dolls for grown LMB men that they were built as.

Rex, my reputation on Legion World--hell, throughout the cosmos, is hardly 100% in my favor. But don't let it be forgotten that I'm also a detective, personally trained by Matlock, the greatest detective the universe has ever known. I believe I understood quite a lot about you the minute we met...moniker and energy signatures and all that

Its obvious Vee and my old friend the Emerald Empress had a strong connection--strong enough indeed, that the Eye choose Vee after Sarya's death. Your connection with her, while not transparent, is obvious. I'm a wordy son of a bitch sometimes, so let me get to the point: care to join me on a perilous journey, most likely full of death, dissapointment and cosmic notions that make little sense?
