Their own book. So I could avoid hearing about them every two minutes while I was trying to read a Legion book. I already have Batman available to suck all the air out of the room if necessary. The Lanterns don't need to hang around for that purpose.

Number crunching for survival of the book, which I can more than live with. Besides, the GL ring is every kids dream. Originally posted by Exnihil: "In brightest day in public parks the birds flock down like hungry sharks. Let those who will not feed the larks, beware the power of Myron Marks!"
You may not draw, but your writing is exquisite! And spot on, imo.

And if Rainbow Girl joined the Corps with her power's mysterious, ill-defined connection to the emotional spectrum already...
... well, its just total chaos.
On the other hand, a Neptunian GL with Ron-Karr's power would be "cool".
Next time we have a DC/Marvel crossover, I want it to take place in the Hostessverse

Rainbow Lass is a great idea! She and Color Kid wouild make a great sector team!
I forgot to add Lydda on my other list.
The GL is great for all of the true heroes whose own powers, or lack there of, makes them such minor hitters in the LSH lore.

^ Those minor powers is actually what makes those characters interesting in my eyes. I'd rather see how they solve their problems using those abilities and their quick wits - rather than a ring that can do anything.
Plus, the GLC currently have THREE ongoing series' plus however many other books like JLA, JSA, Brightest Day and so on in the present-day DCU for fans of that concept to follow. Why have it invade the only two books that give us Legion-related stuff?
That all said, I love Geoff Johns' Rainbow Girl update and think she is sufficiently different from the rest of the GLC to warrant more screen-time in these pages. Since she has the powers of all the different Corps put together, what difference does it make who the 31st century GL is anyway? They're light-weight next to her.

How about losing that great big, abnoxious, hideous, neon lantern emblem on your chest? (ok he's a Lantern, we GET IT). That would be a nice first step towards coolness I think.

I, personally, would put a GL Legion Corps in a book of it's own. And I'd take the neon out of the green on Lar's outfit, too.
Rainbow Girl can't be EVERYWHERE at once. It's a very huge galaxy, not to mention universe.
And over the last 50 years, someone like Night Girl or Matter Eater Lad or Stone Boy has been used in how many tales, really? Once every 8 to 10 years? I mean, really used, not just in a fly by or other 'extra' roll.
Why do we get tired of all the writers using mostly the same few characters? The ones that get used either have the brains or power levels (or eye candy beauty), to make a story possible. A guy who eats things, or turns to stone and stands there, are very difficult to tell lots of stories with.

I like the idea of having lesser known Legion characters become 31st century GLs. Of course Sinde would get a ring.
However as others have mentioned, Green Lanterns are rather ubiquitous right now and don't need another book. Although in writing that last sentence, I realize that a Legion GL corp book is just for pure speculation and extremely unlikely to be a reality.

Seriously, why would they need their own book when they can hog the Legion's book? If we have to put up with GL's showing up all the time, though, it might make it tolerable if everytime they showed up, it gave us the chance to see Elza, Myron, and Sinde, or other characters we'd probably never get to see otherwise!

Leeta-87 could have made it through Green Lantern training if not for that damn yellow banyo-fruit peel impurity.

If I must have stories about a 31st century GLC, I'd rather they happen outside of UP space and the hell away from the Legion, so that they don't get in the way of the stories and adventures of the characters I *do* want to read.
Color Kid, on the other hand, has demonstrated that his power to change the color of things can alter the actual properties of Kryptonite, which is pretty darn unlikely to have anything to do with it's actual color spectrum. I wonder if he could change the color of a Green Lantern's ring, and actually turn it (temporarily?) into a Red Ring of Rage or a Sinestro Corps Yellow Ring? It would be silly, but wouldn't make any less sense than being able to change the properties of Kryptonite, really...

^ I could be completely wrong on this (and therefore exposing my scientific ineptitude) but I seem to remember reading somewhere that it was the actual red colour of certain food types that was giving them a specific nutrient quality, rather than any other factor.
If that is so, then I don't have much of a problem with Color Kid's changing of the kryptonite cloud's colour also changing it's effects.
In fact, I already didn't have a problem with that story element anyway since we've long known that different coloured kryptonites produce different effects, and since all those kryptonites are just rocks from the same planet, surely it's just those different colours that are producing those different effects.

I guess there are two possible ways Color Kid's power could work - a) it's just an illusion, in which case the changing kryptonite thing *couldn't* work, or b)he is actually changing the properties of the subject of his power so that the subject interacts differently with light. If he's changing the physical properties of something, that would make sense as to how he can make green kryptonite act like red kryptonite (this is something Jeckie's never done to the best of my knowledge, which backs it up). It also makes more sense to me why when he makes the ground and the sky change colors, bad guys get all confused...it has to be more than just changing the color of the sky, because it's not like people freak out and think the world is burning whenever there's a sunset. But if the atmosphere feels a little denser (or less dense) because of the way it's now interacting with light, that could be disorienting even if it's on a level that you're not consciously aware of? Just an idea anyway. In closing, Color Kid is awesome and I like the idea of him changing Green Lantern rings to other corps colors. The end.

Black Mace so deserves a shot at redemption with a power ring! Originally posted by Exnihil: "In brightest day in public parks the birds flock down like hungry sharks. Let those who will not feed the larks, beware the power of Myron Marks!"

Polecat: Don't worry Legion. My ring will create a hermetically sealed force bubble to protect us from Mordru's power. Legion: Nooooooooo! >Gack< the stench, the >passes out< "In brightest day in public parks the birds flock down like hungry sharks. Let those who will not feed the larks, beware the power of Myron Marks!" This gave me a laugh. Excellent.

Perhaps it would be more correct to say, that the substance that gives the food its red color also gives it its nutritional value. Think beta-carotene, which makes carrots orange and is also an inactive form of Vitamin A.

No evil shall escape Elza Perkins' busybodyism! I like the idea in principle, but what if instead of the GLC the Amber Butane Corps were used instead?
If the meek shall inherit inherit the Earth, then I at least want Baffin Island - and a property manager to work for me who is made of sterner stuff than I.

Lester Spiffany would make a good Orange Lantern... or perhaps the Red Lanterns would be a better fit. He didn't seem particularly greedy, just full of pride.

Full of arrogance anyway. Everyone has a price and all that. I've known a few people like that.
I would have loved to have seen the climax of the Lantern wars resulting in the defeat of the heroes.... only for the Amber Butane corps to step in. There's a Giffen book in there easily.
Parallax: No! Somehow it is resistant to to fear, to anger, to greed. Who is this Cheeks, the Amber Butane Boy?
