We've had a few hints about the LSV having a story, I just was surprised that it will culminate in a one shot special for them.

When we were told they were in the past, I looked and looked for them in the New Krypton stories but couldn't find them.
I can hardly wait!

of course. but nobody forced DC to made this book a 48 pages mammuth. please remember that to lower the prices of the monthlies from 3.99 to 2.99, what DC did was in fact to reduce the amount of the pages of their books.

Wow! I'm super-excited by the Adventure starring the Legion Academy, super-excited to see Dreamy with her real hair (and toting Star Boy back to where he belongs), and super-intrigued to know what's up with this Legion of Super-Villains special!

I love that Jimenez Adventure cover, and the Legion #11 cover has to be among one of my favourites so far. I'm a Dream Girl fan from waaaaaay back when and having Thom back on the team is just the icing on the cake for me with this new series. (now if we can only get XS involved in a story somehow)

Harmonia Li must be an eternal of some sort so even a tiny bit of her blood might be enough to save someone's life?

I have to agree with what others have said about the LSV cover ... I don't get a sense as to who most of them are, but I think that's the point. We are meant to be surprised by this one shot and that makes me very happy!

I'm guessing the 48 pages thing was Levitz's idea because his story was probably large enough. Would you prefer that the story be split up into two $2.99 issues?

I guess I don't mind paying more for a comic when it comes with more pages. Earlier this month I bought Fables #100 which was 100 pages and cost $9.99 and I thought it had so much content in it that it was worth the extra cost. I loved the $3.99 co-feature books DC has been doing these last two years because the price increase was justified by the back-ups or, in Legion's case, more story pages. But when they started increasing the normal 32 page comics to $3.99, that's when there was a problem.

They may just not be very observant. For Durlans, humans are very exotic species, and if they are xenophobous and self-centered they may just not have paid enough attention. Kind of like when you are asked to draw a cow/dog from memory, you are likely to get their fur patterns wrong.

That's what makes Cham special. He's very observant.

i don't mind that either. in fact, here in italy monthly comic books usually have more than 80 pages (top selling italian comics, published by bonelli, usually have about a 100), so i'm used for my reading experience to be way longer than the one US floppies give, and i like it. but i don't think that's the point, here.

my point is that it was DC to bring up the problem that comics cost too much. it was them to decide to lower the prices of all their monthly books to 2.99. so, if DC believes the market is all for 2.99 books, why not to be coherent in full with that belief and promote their events with 2.99 books, too (if not with cheaper ones, like they successfully did with the latest crises)?
moreover, the legion titles aren't selling very much themselves, so i don't believe an expensive LSV special will be a hit. since current comic shop audience doesn't seem to care about levitz' legion, why not to encourage them with a cheap book, instead?

the problem here is that it doesn't matter what you or me would buy. me, i would have ordered this book even if it had cost (<- is the tense right?) 20 dollars, cause i'm that much a legion junkie. but it's not me nor you DC has to court if they want to sell more legion books.

All I know is that this looks to be a very fun month for the legion. After years of subpar stuff, and then having it cut short when it was starting to get good again after a long time, its great to see the legion back on more solid ground.
