I really dislike the cover for Legion Lost #3.
Beauty's where you find it. Not just where you bump and grind it.

Well, it's very dynamic and interestingly layed out, imo.
I really like the Origins cover.
Where's the Star Trek/LSH cover? And any glimpse of the variant covers for 1 & 2?
A singin' and a dancin' along the way.

Star Trek/LSH is coming out through IDW iirc, so it will not be shown with the DC solicits.
Active LMB character is still Beast Boy.

The lady on the cover to Legion #3 has me so happy you guys don't even know ^_^
The LL cover....I think it is well-drawn but I don't particularly love it...I don't hate it either, just saying it doesn't really engage me that much. Is it just me or does the bad guy look a little like a less hairy Brin from his post-Furball days?
L:SO cover..looks like fan art. I am not dissing fan art, but it's not really dynamic, the washed out colors don't work for me at all, the characters don't actually look like themselves, and Garth's lightning blast looks like a generic wave of light, nothing like comic book electrical powers at all.

Though I do like it quite a bit, I'm definitely getting a strong "Christina Applegate" vibe from Saturn Girl on the Secret Origins cover.

So based on covers and promotional info, we know this much about the Legion's membership:
Ultra Boy Phantom Girl Chameleon Boy Glorith Dragonwing Chemical Kid Mon-El Brainiac 5 Sun Boy
Is Comet Queen going to join as well? And who resigns? Who dies?

And one can only hope they take out that comic version of Didio when they hit the ground.
Active LMB character is still Beast Boy.

The Renegades, huh? I wonder if there'll be heroes who would've allied with the LSH in the past? Or are they all new characters?
That's a colorful foe for Brin on the LOST cover-- can't say I'm drawn to extended jaw/distended tongue characters. I like the colors, though. And the 'action' in the cover.
They're in a mall- so I guess LOST will be taking place on Earth. I wasn't totally sure till now. Inevitable, I suppose. I would've been impressed if the story took place on some other 21st century planet.
We don't know Comet Queen is a member yet... I'd choose lots of characters ahead of her, but Levitz *did* create her and I'm looking forward to seeing what he's got in the cards for her.

Less agreement here. Not thrilled with the look of Garth's 'Lightning' blasts and Hate that it appears (hoping it is just artistic license on the cover) that they have Flight Rings way too early in there careers.

[/b] That's one loose end I'd completely given up on ever seeing tied up! The mall setting and that weird '90s Timber Wolf mini'-looking character Brin's fighting with do both harken back to previous Legion series' set in the 20th/21st century though. It'll be a weird coincidence if that's all it is.

I really hate Brin with long hair. The guy's an acrobat; the last thing he would ever want is hair getting in his face when he's flipping around.
And if the artist is going to give him long hair, at least make it observe the laws of physics and gravity.

As I've, and probably others have posted elsewhere here, recently in Adventure, Levitz showed that this is really the retroboot by having the flight rings show up very early on. To accomplish that, IIRC, he also had Brainy associated with the Legion practically from the beginning. But, I understand that the Origins covers might be an acquired taste. And many of the Circus Ole(sp?) performers, who are all seem to be acrobats and dancers of some sort, have long hair. Both genders, and often their hair isn't tied back. I DO agree that it would make sense to get it out of his eyes and that it should obey natural laws. But, movement, and physical reactions to it, might be problematical and affected by numerous factors that might combine to make things look 'odd' to us, imo. (How's that for rationalization? ) As to the length and style though, they may be playing the 'feral child' angle. (Another rationalization/excuse?)
A singin' and a dancin' along the way.

[/b]the name of that "half-Durlan" is Thrust and it s been speculated that he s the son of Lobo. he's not Red Rage...completely different. and also he is a member of Espionage squad called "the Point Force". see the link - http://www.comicvine.com/thrust/29-13564/

Hmmm.... I must be confusing the Durlan guy for someone else entirely. The character I am thinking of looked more like a knock-off of Sabretooth, fur on the sholders, fur on the forarms, fangs, claws, pointy ears and red eyes. This guy has the ears and the eyes, but... Anyway, I didn't think the one I was thinking of was this Red Rage character, just that they had a similar look (minus the tail that RR seems to have).

Hey guys, is the problem you see with his hair (other than being long) that it is not hanging down? Because, if they are falling, it could still stream behind him rather than stick out ahead of him (I think)?

Originally posted by lil'rhino: Cover to Star Trek/LSH #2 Interesting presentation here. Saturn Girl is the only Legionnaire to have a large headshot on the cover. None of the Star Trek characters have full-body shots. Kirk is the largest headshot and the central figure, but is partially covered by the figure of Lightning Lad. I bet deciding the layout was almost as big a nightmare as the movie poster for Generations where they had to balance 2 popular lead Characters without favoring either.

Love that picture. That's the creepiest version of Chameleon Boy I've seen in, ever. Brin leaping over the Starfleet/IDIC symbol is cool. The Legion folk are in much more dynamic positions than the Enterprise crew. Oh, Uhura, rock that hairdo, you sexy goddess. So, does anyone else think that the linework make Spock look nine months pregnant? And now that I've pointed it out, will you ever be able to un-see it?
