no new Adventure announcement
It at least tells us explicitly that the conclusion of Lo3W leads into the new Adventure series.

FINAL CRISIS: LEGION OF THREE WORLDS #5

[...]Leading into the all-new Adventures Comics #1!
So this is official confirmation finally on what will be happening with Adventure Comics, although most people picked up on the none too subtle hints that the LSH would figure into it. I hope it is a permanent LSH title, not a rotating spot though. And it remains to be seen exactly how the LSH will be featured (ie time travel is involved so it could be a return to any time period in the Geoff LSH such as Superboy and the LSH, a recounting of post-Crisis stories, or moving forward).

Ah yes, and back then we called coleslaw 'liberty cabbage' and 'liberty cabbage' 'superslaw', we couldn't say the word 'twenty' so we used 'dickety', because it was stolen by the Kaiser. But I chased him for 'dickety' miles before he... what were we talking about?

so I feel relieved that Dawnstar is not the one who do not get killed off in #4. whew. That cover alone is such a beauty!!!! shock to see that George Perez can paint as well as Alex Ross. ah...beautiful!

Well, from the Didio hints in interviews, "Mon-El and the Legionnaires" (his quote) will be the first story in Adventure Comics... Sounds like it could be a tryout book...

Sure the guy can paint, he IS an artist after all!

Maybe the cover of #5 is symbolic ... meaning that picture of Dawnstar rising up into the clouds is her acsending towards the heavens (meaning she's gonna bite it at some point in the issue)?

Naaaahh, just teasing ya superboymddjr! Geoff Johns has said in the past that she's one of his favorite Legionnaires, so I think Dawny is safe.

Maybe it can also include Action # 858-864.

Although it is a George Pérez cover, he is not "painting" it, It's colorist Dave Craig's job - as in all issues.
I am actually excited to see more Jim Starlin material coming up, in spite of dismal sales and lots of unjustified bashing.
And why is DC putting out a LSH hardcover for just the last 5 issues? Shouldn't it fill in the gaps between the first Shooter-Manapul collection and this one first?

Hey, my first post, I'm a little bit nervous. So for the start:

What I don't understand with Lo3W, at Zero Hour our three founding members and the Time Trapper-Rokk Krinn started the whole universe again. Hasn't this never happened and is this Time Trapper not the Time Trapper from pre Zero Hour? If he is Rokk again, why does he fight them? I loved the idea, that all his actions were for good purpose, not evil. Why change it back again? Or is this Time Trapper a different version? At the end/start (?) of Zero Hour there was this woman in a cloak, I thought this was de new Trapper. This whole timeline/universe changing is getting me dizzy, sorry, and I'm confused about this resent storyline in Lo3w. Maybe I missed something in the last years.
So much for my first post, have a nice christmas and a happy new year.

Welcome.

I think the Time Trapper's identity is pretty fluid. In the Post-Zero Hour timeline he pretty much stated that the Rokk stuff wasn't the "real" story, and that his real identity and motivations are far beyond that ("Sometimes I'm even one of you").
Johns is taking this one step further and saying that all these alterations in continuity are part of the Time Trapper's attempts to pull Kal-El away from the Legion, but every time Superman seems to work his way back in.

Long story short, yes this does contradict several earlier appearances of the Trapper, including the Rokk reveal, but with a character like the TT, there's a built in escape clause that lets them get away with it.

The first hardcover collected #37-44, this one is for #45-50. I think the problem here is that the series wasn't supposed to end at #50 and that this collection was supposed to contain #51-53 as well. 8 and 8: Shooters' original pitch of stories.

Editorial is to blame for this one. <sarcasm>Great job guys!</sarcasm>

No doubt either Shooter or Manapaul had a guarantee to collect the series in Hardcover. But man, that's not the most economical package, especially given the anemic sales of the first HC.

Yeah. I know 50 is a magic number to end with, but at DC so is 52. So why not just shed one issue off instead of three?

I can't believe they didn't see the L3W delays coming a mile away. Two more friggin' issues! Is that too much to ask?

Apparently, Didio didn't notice that DC occasionally slips a ship date. smirk

Oh, excuse me, my eyes have just rolled completely out of my head. I have to go find them.

Welcome aboard, Casaloki! And believe me, you're not the only one who's confused by all the reboots. I've never missed an issue of Legion in 35 years and I'm still confused.

It's definitely for the long run. Mark my words: people will miss this run in the future, just as TMK and DnA have been "revaluated" later on.

I would have bought the first HC if the last issue of the story arc had halfways decent art. It might be worth checking overstock.com for it.

If you mean 864 it's not in the HC.

Really? Admittedly I dislike both DnA and TMK so I may be colored in judgment, but I haven't seen any resurgence in love over time, just the same divisions, in roughly the same proportions, over their merit there have always been.
