Everyone knows that Mayfair Games published three Legion sourcebooks for their now-defunct DC Heroes Role Playing Game:

1. Legion of Super-Heroes, Volume I
2. Legion of Super-Heroes, Volume II: The World Book
3. 2995: The Legion of Super-Heroes Sourcebook

I have at least one copy of each, maybe more. And I have an electronic version of the first and third.

I've never been able to find a scanned copy of the second book. So when I found another copy for sale on eBay this weekend I grabbed it up. But before I do with it what I plan (tear it down to single pages and scan it) I wanted to ask if there was anyone here who was desperately looking for a copy of it.

If someone truly needs it I'm willing to part with it but if not I'm going to sacrifice it so I have a reference copy with my others.

So step on up and cast your vote!

Those books are just great... I got them all for cheap on German ebay, and even though I never lost a thought about role-playing with them (nobody would play with me), they are just a great buy - you can read them for hours, there so much information, so much nostalgia and (especially in the 2995) so much humor... I love the sequel to Matter-Eater Lads clash with Evillo... priceless! smile

The 2995 Sourcebook is indeed a treasure, a must-have for TMK fans!

I cant help it i like books too much.

Ripping up a book, no matter how valuless it may be just seems, i dunno, wrong. I am afraid i dont even like it when the spine on a paperback gets creased.

I'm with you. It drives me nuts anytime my wife reads one of my books, because she can't read a paperback without creasing the spine.

Hmm. Loathe as I am to destroy any kind of book, there may not be another way to get a decent scan. I'll try to do it with out tearing it down but, since I already have a collection copy I won't cry if I have to.

I'm curious as to what the "Other" vote was for since no one seemed to have posted about it.

But since no one needs a copy, as soon as it comes in I'll start scanning it.

Thanks everyone.

Hey, I think I downloaded all three of them from Demonoid a few weeks back. I'll check when I get home tonight. You may not need to sacrifice the book after all.

I was actually just on Demonoid and couldn't find it. If you do have it that would be great.

Hurmmmm...searching my memory banks...I think I saw it still up there, quite recently. I'll check that, when I get home, as well....

To add my own two cents...
I have a ton of RPG books and I've played -maybe- 10 times in my life. But, I love the books. Some have horrible artwork, which bugs me because they coulda hired me!
The Legion books are some of my favorites. They cover all the main characters and most of the minor characters, worlds and world creation and some of the politics of the UP, etc. If you were writing the Legion of that period, they're an invaluable resource in a nice, convenient package.

OK, I checked Demonoid and you're right, they're gone. I found the CD I burned just before coming to work, today, so I'll have to wait til I get home tonight to sort it out and see about reposting it to Demonoid or someplace.
Volume 2 is a PDF file as is the 2995 Sourcebook, the Vol 1 is a CBR file.

Thanks for checking Joe. I actually have 1 and 3 as CBR's. But if you can get a PDF of 2 reposted it would be appreciated.

Even better, there's already one on Demonoid...

There's a ton of stuff there, your torrent client should let you cherry pick the ones you want.
I did a search of DC Heroes and found it in the results.

I now have all three digitized for the ages. I only need to add the excellent map of the HQ from the second book to its copy to make it complete. Since I lost my decent scanner that could do large scale projects I may just take it to Kinkos so I know the copy will be decent.

I apparently have #1 & #3. I was browsing through T&M's intro that appears in #3 and I actually wanted to post it on the discussion going on the "Shooter: It's Official" thread as it seems they had great insight on the whole Legion versions thingee.

By the by, can someone PM me the link to the PDF of Book 2? I'm curious to see if it's worth sending for it from Mile High (assuming they have it). Thanks in advance!

Hey, LL, do these books happen to have a galaxy map, or at least a relative map of where different worlds are in the Legion DCU?

Cool, thanks for the map posting. So obviously that is late in the TMK era if there is a New Earth listed.

Where would Earth/Titan be located ?(theoretically, of course smile )
