Or against the Legion?!
To paraphrase from John's Newsarama article (i don't want to spoil much).
Geoff will write Prime again next year.
"GJ: Next year. In a... next year. In 2008."
Superboy Prime has been hopping around the multiverse in Countdown. Will he make it to the future?! <strike>boy</strike>

Isn't he Superman Prime now? They can't use the Superboy name.

That was my first thought as well Jorge.
More fuel to the fire of specualtion that Geoff Johns will be writing a new "Lightning Saga" Legion ongoing next year maybe?

Blacula, I'm glad you thought the same thing. I thought I might've thought Legion cause I always have Legion on the brain. But maybe...you do too!

Prime does not really sound very impressive... rather reminds me of the Malibu Ultraverse character in the 90s.
I don't believe it would be good if he appeared in the LSH anyway - way too powerful, way too lunatic...

Except that a Pre-Crisis Mon-el/ Ultra Boy combo to subdue him while PC Jan creates some fetters out of lavender Kryptonite(doesn't kill you but booy does it sting and leave a nasty rash) may just be what is needed to take the little bugger down once and for all>
All you need is Love (and a whole big bucket of Money).

they can call him Superboy now. the legal battle is over. He was written as 'Superman' when this was happening. I like to call him Prime as the JSA has. I don't like him.
I don't like the idea of him in the Legion, but if he shows up, they need to knock him on his <bum>. He's had it coming awhile now, and if nobody could do it so far, the Legion better be the ones to do it.

Great, if true. Any links to a news story, anyone?
The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

Geoff Johns GL 25 interview @ Newsarama This link has TONS of GL #25 spoilers. FYI NRAMA: OK, status of Superman Prime?
GJ: In the multiverse. When the Guardian was destroyed, Prime soaked up all the energy. And he's flying around in Countdown for a little bit. But I get him back pretty soon.
NRAMA: Pretty soon? Where?
GJ: Next year. In a... next year. In 2008.
NRAMA: In Green Lantern?
GJ: Nnnnnnnno. That's all I can say. [laughs] For now. I can't say anything else. But I always knew where I wanted to take Prime after Sinestro Corps. They wanted to use him in Countdown for a little bit, and then I get him back.
NRAMA: So the next Superman Prime story...
GJ: ... his next chapter is already planned.
NRAMA: And will be written by Geoff Johns.
GJ: Yeah. In a book I’m not currently writing.

And even then it won't be quick.

You know I kinda like the symmetry of having Superboy be the foundation of the Legion and then having Superboy Prime be one of their greatest enemies. Imagine if the current story in Action was continued with Prime allying himself with Earthman et al and plotting to regain Earth for humanity against the Legion and its alien scum collaborators.

Those trial dates are preceded by a settlement conference deadline and court-ordered mediation — if the parties settle, of course, the trials are off

In the latest DC Nation, Superman-Prime wants "A TIME to call my own." Not a place, a time. I don't want him with the Legion, but it looks like it might be a possibility.

Well I assumed he would appear in the Action Legion but it would be cool to see him go against Shooter's Legion. They never met Superboy before. But honestly he would wipe them all out in a heartbeat. That Legion can't face him.

The Legion that went up against a planetfull of Darkseid-controlled Daxamites, each with Superboy Prime's power, would probably be able to trip the murderous super-thug up. If he came out of nowhere intending to kill them all, and knew exactly what their powers were, and Dreamy / Brainy wasn't able to warn the team of the impending attack, he probably could wipe out a bunch of them before they could even react. But Superboy-Prime usually doesn't work that way, and seems to get off on killing people one at a time, which would give the team-members who could shut him off like a light (Element Lad or Saturn Girl, for instance) an opportunity.

The experienced Legion can probably beat him but the latest? No way. Remember their Element Lad has to touch and it only lasts for a minute!

But if he could turn him to dust in space and scatter it...well..when the minute's up...
Use your imagination. It couldn't be too hard to distract that guy.
