If you don't know what number it is, how do you know it's number #30?

That's the "Brainy's Lucky Day" story and it is #30. It's one of my favourite issues, not because Rond dies, but for Dr. Chaseer and a whole lot of other stuff going on.

People have different classifications for the volumes/series, so that can get confusing.

Thanks FC. The death happens off panel, btw.

This topic and it's posts will be merged into the Reference Thread.

FC is correct... and generally, that is indeed considered vol. 3 by organized fandom.

That's The Universo Project. It sort of starts in #31 (people falling asleep; most of that issue is a flashback story) but really gets going in #32 and runs for 4 issues.

Universo starts popping up in disguise as early as #10 or #11 or so (the presidential election issue), and we learn his identity somewhere around the mid-20s.

it was quite a lot of set-up. The post-flashback sequence in #31 isn't immediately apparent as part of the scheme, for instance, and Jeckie assumes Jacques was less-than-attentive to her tale (before she too falls asleep).
