Or maybe this is the first sign for the Legion in the 21st century? How many forces from the future with a connection to Ion AND Mon-El are there? But you are right, we still have to wait for the new series (or did I missunderstand you, MLLASH?)

this is no way to keep and build a reader base.
just who is in charge here and how can they justify this as good business practice?

Soooo....

no LSH v5 (I still have dreams)

no Adventure Comics

no Superman:Origin

not even Starman in JSA (the JLA mini has a different Starman which indicates Thom is going back burner)

What do we have?
Mon-El in the twentieth century (and hopefully Tellus but who knows)

Legion <strike>Rip-</strike>Spin-Off R.E.B.E.L.S.

Happy Days for Legion fandom

In case you don't really know, they're waiting until after LO3W, because it's supposed to be a lead-in or something.

In NEWSARAMA's latest 25 questions for Dan Dido, DD flatly states an August start for Adventure Comics...

Hi!

Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere, I don't know what the right board for it is but have we all seen this?

http://www.newsarama.com/comics/050912-Geoff-Return.html

I mean...what's the point of having solo Legion stories?

So that they can be seen for what they weren't really ever seen for in the past, heroes in their own right? For the most part, they've all been a part of a team from the get-go or their individual heroics were off-panel, before they became members.

Could be an interesting take.

The article gives good opportunity to repeat what I wrote on the DC board, those Manipul drawings have totally psyched me up. They channel Andrew Wyeth (to me).

And what is that up in the sky? Is it a bird? Is it a plane?

Well the best part about that is that it's in a continuing series, instead of a miniseries like Val, Rokk, Brin, and Sandy have had.

Karate Kid was launched as an ongoing but was cancelled due to poor sales. Timber Wolf was a pilot for an on-going that never happened.

Bad writing and poor sales killed both. Not really good markers for the fate of solo Legionnaires in Adventure.

Sodom Yat is such an unfortunate name on so many levels, that Lar could never forget him, I'm aftaid, even in a 1000 years.

(And Mum-Ra, thanks for telling me who he is, is probably fighting some of those Starro people.
Just a guess, though.)

I'm trying to reconcile the quote "now that we've read the first four issues of Legion of 3 Worlds?" with the article's posting day of 12 May.

1) Have we seen yet in L3W, those pages from DC Universe 0 (the preview of Final Crisis)?

2) Fate of SP: it will be interesting to see how carefully Johns chose his words. Fate means finality. Will we see the finality of SP or just the next thing?

3) Adventure: I think I'll enjoy the spotlights but the editor better have a heavy hand. If the writer changes canon, as opposed to adding to the canon, they'll lose Legion readers.

I'll read the spotlights, and *sigh* I'll buy them, but it isn't the same as having a book out monthly.

Hell, at this point I say call Jimmy Janes, grab Gerry Conway and get something, almost anything out there.

*Haven't quite reached the Ditko level yet. yes, he was great with spiderman and charlton, not so much on legion IMO!*

Damn you, you kids! Get off my lawn or I'm callin' tha cops!

Something pithy!
