He's talking about Crisis on Infinite Earths, Zero Hour: Crisis in Time and Infinite Crisis - the ones that rewrote reality, not every crossover going.

My views are my own and do not reflect those of everyone else... and I wouldn't have it any other way.

updated version - Dan clarified on what he meant by this - go to the link:

so Crisis not completely wiped out yet...look at Flamebird AKA Bette Kane - as an example....

I think it's a great idea to let all that history go. I couldn't keep up with all the Crises and their implications when they were happening. I know lots of fans like to keep track of that stuff, but having to be faithful to it is bound to choke the creative life out these books. "Free at last!", I say.

NONE of the 'Crisis' storylines should work with ANY of the rebooted comics anyway... so of course they should be gone from continuity! Making them fit with rebooted characters would be a total nightmare, what stupidity would result from insisting they stay 'in continuity'?!? The same goes for 'Legends', 'Invasion', 'Millenium' .... need I go on? If the current versions have new histories, then they have NEW histories and everything before should be out the window. If not, then there will just have to be yet another 'fix' just down the road.... Oh wait! This is DC we are talking about, of course there is another 'Fix' coming next year.... never mind.

I agree, I think.

That would make sense, but sense isn't what they're going for, I'm sure.

Now if they said all previous crossover events no longer mattered at all, what is that going to do to readers' enthusiasm for upcoming events? Not to mention trade collections of the past events?

Exactly.

So unless they give up on the mega-event thing, which I would love (except when they have something truly exception, and no more than once every three years at most), they're unlikely to totally dismiss the classic events of the past.
