Ugh. Superboy-Prime punched reality and caused all those continuity errors. Dumbest reason ever Final Crisis was worse, I read it twice and still couldn't tie all the threads together.

those and 52 and countdown are why I don't pick up any Event comics. I've more than paid my dues there.

Sometimes I just read the wikipedia entries on those events. Saves my eyes from strain because I finish rolling them in one sitting instead of over a few months.

If I was writing, I would put Elysion from the Threeboot in because I thought his dialogue was brilliant. Maybe he would be forced in by someone like Lemnos or McCauly in order to subvert the team, and perhaps create a mercenary squad. Johns also created a lot of Yellow Lantern members from Legion planets, so maybe one of their descendents finds a ring.

He IS about the right age to be a Legionnaire. But I don't see how either the UP or the Legion could justify his acceptance - his rampage seemed a lot more immediately destructive than what Earth-Man and his goons did.

I was looking forward to Infinite Crisis. That's the most disappointing thing. I even picked up a few extra DC titles I wouldn't normally have touched. I seem to recall a DiDio Outsiders issue to be amongst the absolute worst

The last major event I really enjoyed was... Invasion, I think. And Final Night. Zero Hour was terrible and I barely remember Underworld Unleashed or Genesis.

A yes for Quicksand from me....I would also consider Mist Master as well..a nifty power and almost totally non-existent characterization.

The old man admired their spirit, their unwavering adherence to principles he thought long dead. It reminded him of his own youth, of painful compromises made over centuries.
Still, seeming inaction was not an option. He couldn't allow this group of youths to operate freely within the laws he had spent so long establishing. No, Mordru would join their ranks.

Oh wow, I did a fanfic with a nicer version of Sarya, the Emerald Empress, taking the place of R.J. Brande as Legion benefactor, but a Legion formed by Mordru? Funky!

Bah, Mordru is clearly older than 18! That rules lawyer Polar Boy will have him out on his fez before he can say Legion of Super-Rejects! ;p

A victorian Legion would be cool ...
Mordru one of the last wizards realizes that the time of magic is over and decides to assemble a group of protectors who draw their power from the age of science.
But a few magicians would still be around ... like Mysa.

The rules lawyer Polar Boy, who only got into the team by having that rule waived you mean? Then there's Harmonia...

The Legion's always been willing to waive the rules if needed - look at how many over-18s joined during the 5 Year Gap (the rest of the Subs, for example).

I'd be happy with any tale that saw Quicksand get some exposure and back story. But supervillainesses who stay bad are so rare. More Mist Master would be great, but I'd be sad that Gas Girl was passed over. I love the idea of Elysion joining, but there'd have to be some issues establishing his villainy in whatever continuity he was becoming a Legionnaire in, if it were one other than Legion Prime.
The prospect of a villain joining the LSH makes me think of the dropped storyline about a LSV espionage squad. There'd be a certain symmetry to an infiltration angle, playing off the Colossal Boy/Tarik the Mute storyline.
If we have to stay true to where things ended up (frankly, I think any bit of the most recent volume could happily be ignored), then Phantom Lad and Sun Emporer should get a shot. Though the former was never really a villain, like some of his would be replacement Legionnaires and the latter would require a pretty convincing, and hard to pull off, road to Damascus moment to overcome the vile actions of his past. But, hey, they let Earth Man in.
Mano would make a certain sense, character-wise. How about a non-robotic Molecule Master? Or a youthened Sugyn? Or slap a space helmet on Cosmic King and reveal he's been living with a nefarious nebula-like reaction to breathable atmospheres all these years! He can be Jan' s next mentee! Wouldn't it be fun to watch Chemical Kid's jealousy- infused hazing? Possibly , literally.
My actual selection would be Echo. But that's a sort of cheat, since we know so little about him. The most impactful choice would be someone like a recorpalized Tharok. Or a retrieved and reprogrammed AI Tharok under Brainy's watchful eye. Housed in a new robot/android/synthezoid/new word body.
Code-named Echo! That was fun.

I wouldn't mind a reformed Beauty Blaze, though with Dirk on the team she'd be redundant.
Neutrax would give us a handicapped Legionnaire and a unique and useful power. We can get around his villainy by playing up the "Dark Man brainwashed him" angle.

Shagrek. Shagrek is not really evil. He is merely slow-witted, violent, and lascivious. Sun Boy is lascivious, Timber Wolf is violent, and Colossal Boy is slow-witted. In fact, Shagrek would be an ideal replacement for Timber Wolf, who has an annoying habit of getting lost in the past. Surely, with 31st-century personality rehabilitation techniques, Shagrek could be remade into a true hero… as long as he regularly takes his meds.
Next time we have a DC/Marvel crossover, I want it to take place in the Hostessverse

With Echo having been a member in the 5YG with trouble with the authorities, it looks as though he became more of a villain.
Cosmic Boy: Congratulations! You're in the Legion now, Mano. Mano: I'm so happy that you waived that over 18s rule. Cosmic Boy: You deserved it. Any man who saves my life is someone I'd gladly shake hands with. >Fwooosh!< Mano: Gah! I've incinerated Cosmic Boy! Element Lad: We may have waived the over 18s rule, but let me show you what we do about violating the one about killing...

I'd consider putting Singularity in the Legion; you know: the guy who lead some sort of army and fought the reboot Legion shortly before the three-boot. His powers weren't well defined, but he seemed to be very powerful and quite driven.
If the meek shall inherit inherit the Earth, then I at least want Baffin Island - and a property manager to work for me who is made of sterner stuff than I.

Singularity was powerful and driven alright, but boy he'd have to learn not to be so aggressive! He's exactly the type to hit first and ask questions later. Are there any villains without powers that might have a shot if that rule was waived? Hmmmm. Honestly, none come to mind - I can't think of a non-powered villain on a level close to, say, Karate Kid.

Singularity was involved in killing others as part of a religious crusade. An interesting foe, but something that would corrupt the Legion for me. Earth-Man was bad enough.
