I spent this afternoon tending to some special plants in my private greenhouse, and I got to thinking about all of the various plant life we've seen in the various incarnations of the Legion.
One of my favorites was the Venusian Octopus Vine! Which ones do YOU remember?

The Tree Men of Planet Arbro.
Theory: the Plant Men that the Subs battled in their first appearance in Adventure Comics #306 (3/63) were the same race as the Tree-Men from Arbro seen in Action Comics #287 (4/62). The Tree Men needed help because their suns rays had become too weak to create chlorophyll. And while the Plant Men came from an unnamed world, and attacked Earth for unknown reasons, their world was depicted in darkness and shadows.

On the Thieves' Planet the Legion encountered the Element Tree. "It blossoms with leaves of gold, silver, maglium, platinum, xernium and other precious metals."
And this only one issue after Element Lad joined!

If you keep spouting out crazy theories like that, people might start thinking you're one of my alternate IDs! I'm going to select the lotus fruit! I would have figured it to be Doc's favorite flora!
