Wow...and the word from everyone is not good. This was a HUGE let down. Predictable is an understatement! DC is just on a huge downswing...I mean i read this in 5 minutes! No background info, no thought bubbles, no what has come before..not even a planet blurb. Is anyone putting any passion or effort in any of this? Everyone was happy Levitz was back including myself but this was worse than almost everything I can remember! And surprise....------is dead. Who didnt see that coming!
Boy I have been reading this book since 1978....I have never given up hope...but Geoff Johns storyline was a thousand times bette The End????????????????????????

So, I think there was no sense of 'This has to be great because it is the last of this version'. Superboy #11 was just as bad and it really is the last anyone will see of that version (for awhile anyway). Are ALL of the wrap-ups (given that I haven't seen any of the others except Superboy... and that was an accident) being handled in this lack-luster fassion?

SECRET SIX # 36 certainly wasn't lackluster.
Can we get Gail back on LSH?!?!

Batgirl's last issue was good. I liked the ending there.
and I think one of the Batman's book - Detective Comics #771 ?? or #881? or #661 whatever - that issue was the best, as what I hear.

Unless I'm fogetting something, Geoff Johns (with his 'Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes' arc in Action Comics and then Legion of Three Worlds) is the only writer to tell a Legion story that I've actually enjoyed since around about issue #3 of DnA's The Legion series which was, what - 10 years ago?
And Geoff Johns is a writer I don't even particularly care for anymore.
No wonder I'm tiring of DC when my favourite of their properties has been so unfulfilling for so long.
However, even though I won't be buying it, I do think that the new Legion Lost series looks really good (I love the members being featured, and the art looks great) so I hope Nicienza is able to give this franchise the kick in the pants that Levitz has obviously been unable to.

Well, if it is only the LoSH and Superboy that sucked, then I guess it has to be the fault of the writers rather than it being because the current reality is being brought to a close. I would sugest that fans of both properties petition DC for writers that could actually do a good job on the respective books, but I know DC doesn't care what the fans think. So, don't know what to say.

It's pretty sad, all right. It's so hard to care for the characters now. I miss those days when I'd check my CBS every day to see if the latest issue had come out.

I am looking forward to an Earth-Man/Sodam Yot-free Legion series. If only Paul will never mention either of them again (and, preferably, never mention Harmonia Li, either), perhaps we can get on to some good Legion stories.
I don't know if Shadow Lass is recoverable from this mess (it would seem pretty odd for *her* to never mention Earth-Man again...), but the rest of the Legion appears to have survived it with their character and dignity mostly intact.

I did not pick up any issues of the current series. Is it getting rebooted again, or staying as it is?

Word is, it's not getting rebooted, and it's been said, of the entire relaunch, it's probably the title that will be *least* affected.
That being said, word was that Shooter was going to write four more issues of the threeboot, and that issue 50 would be completely different than it turned out to be, so I'm pretty burned on taking DC peeps at their word...
I guess we'll see when we see.

It's not supposed to be much affected by the reboot - everyone WILL be 5 years younger, though. We just don't know if that means some marriages/relationships have never happened or if the Ranzz twins haven't been born yet or what? I don't know what I'm hoping for, exactly, especially since they're keeping the xenophobia on Earth. Like Set said, we'll just have to wait and see.

As I recall, Waid and Kitson weren't rebooting, only re-imagining! And it was going to be the #1 selling title in a year!

I have a theory about what's really going on at DC.
Ever see the Producers?
First comic books ever bought: A DC four-for-47-cents grab bag that included Adventure #331. The rest is history.

That could explain the rumor of the new Justice Society of America starring Hitler's-brain-in-a-jar!* *Er... having typed that, it actually doesn't seem completely implausible...

I gave up on the Legion after Shady and Earth Man had their fling, that jumped the shark too farfor my liking. Am hoping the re-start softboot will be better.
Legion Worlds NINE - wait, there's even more ongoing amazing adventures? Yup, and you'll only find them in the Bits o' Legionnaire Business Forum.

I echo the sentiments that this latest 16 issue reboot has been lackluster and discombobulated at best.
Trying to look at it from the writer's standpoint, Mr Levitz seemed to have a lot of obstacles to deal with from his own company. I expect when he started this latest LSH run he probably had a dozen+ issues scripted before the first even printed. Then DC decided to cut the price and page count down. I'm sure that Paul had to edit some, if not all, of his scripts for the shortened page count and later the finality of the run in preparation for the next reboot. Mr. Levitz also had young artists to communicate with, one in a foreign country, in which there was obviously some issues. The result was this project was like building a house on shifting sands, and unfortunately it read as such.
I am hopeful the new series will be more fluid and that DC will actually get out of the way and let the creative team build up some momentum.
