Oh, those are actually the "evil alternate Legion" who warn our Legion about the Wraith-Mates! I meant to make that connection at some point, but I forgot.

So, are the new members: A) Quake Kid, Lume, Gates and Zymr, or
B) Quake Kid, Lume, Zymr, and Impulse.
If A) then make Impulse a member of the 5, with... control issues! If B) make Gates a member of the Fatal Five- teleporting people into buildings and deep space and such

I kind of like the mostly non-human Shooter Four, so let's go with Impulse in the Fatal Five!

Cool, then your next pol should probably include questions on which of the four should be the traitor, AND which should make the ultimate sacrifice. (Not to be to much an editor, but I'm an English teacher, and I can't help it.)

Or,.... I was actually in bed, and this idea came to me, and I had to get up and type it before I forgot-
Since we're rewriting history, maybe it ISN'T a Legionnaire that makes the ultimate sacrifice. Maybe the plan is that Gates or Zmyr are supposed to teleport in with a bomb, activate it and teleport back out again immediately, and Kent, with his impulse control issues reasons that if he could save Earth the entire planet woould be beholden to him and he could write his own ticket, so, he incapacitates Gates, grabs the bomb and flies it in thinking (as I said before) that he can either outrun the effects of the Sun-eater, or his invulnerability will be able to withstand it. He's wrong, of course, and actually earns himself a monument on Shanghalla, because despite his intentions, and the fact that there was a potentially workable plan in place, he DID save the Solar system from destruction.
Phew! now back to bed...

I love how this is shaping up!
So for the Fatal Five, we have MOrdecai and Ze Tongue.
I propose:
Kinetix as the Emerald Empress!
Except she's not as evil or bloodthirsty as the others; she still believes she can use the Eye to do good. But doing good, for her, involves her granting the wishes of others without much thought, with often disastrous results!

Do we want a Fatal Six? yes, but still call them FATAL 5 in homage to the Devil's Dozen, which never got close to a dozen members.

Sorry, I was counting from the bottom of the the previous page.
Take out Tinya as one of the Fatal 5, but feel free to work her in -- sooner or later -- to their story, as hero, villain, or unknown. She could be an infiltrator working on her own (kind of like the standard Tinya origin) or hoping to impress the Legion or someone else (shades of Mentalla) or maybe she's a criminal out for ????

Badass Tinya sounds awesome! Is the Apparition codename okay or is that not quite badass enough?
She could be like Dev-Em during the Levitz years, but with the full political and financial backing of her family (whether they know it or not).

OK, before this topic falls off the 2nd page, we need to fulfill some Legion traditions in our new Legion. We don't have any couples yet, we haven't had a single sports metaphor, and we haven't had ANY animals stampeding through the streets of Metropolis!
Come to think of it, are we based in Metropolis? Where would Professor Keenebean, or whatever his name one would have "guided us to? And, did we have an "inspiration from the past"? I forget... if so what town would our upside-down spaceship (sideways circus tent?) be parked?
We also haven't specifically had a "Legionnaires in Prison" adventure yet. Who would trap them? who would be trapped and what obscure loophole would be used to manage their escape?
All you need is Love (and a whole big bucket of Money).

Wasn't there a Legion inspired by Batman set in the Gotham-of-the-future already?
Metropolis and Gotham seem to be the only DC cities to have a serious 'character' of their own. I really don't know enough about Star City or Coast City or whatever to recommend them...

To summarize our version of the "Shooter Four" stories:
Fearing invasion by the Tree-Men of Arbro (with help of the Legion of Super-Villains), the Legion desperately recruit four new members: Gates, Quake Kid, Zymyr, and Lume. After several of their plans for defense begin to go haywire, the Legionnaires begin to suspect a traitor in their mist, and suspicion quickly falls on new member, Gates! Eventually, it is revealed that it is not Gates but fellow new member Zymyr who is the traitor, but unfortunately, he teleports away as the Legionnaires repel the Tree-Men invasion.
Several months later, while most of the Legion is away on a mysterious mission that will leave readers wondering what exactly they're doing for decades, those Legionnaires remaining at base discover that the dreaded Sun-Eater is headed for Earth. Realizing that they will not be able to stop the Sun-Eater on their own, Chemical King, Projectra, Satan Girl, Duplicate Boy and Lume seek the help of some of the most dangerous villains in the galaxy, including Impulse, Tangleweb, Mordecai, Ze Tongue, and the Emerald Empress. Together they managed to defeat the Sun-Eater, but only at the cost of Lume's life! Meanwhile the villains decide to team up, becoming the Fatal Five!
Another few months past, and Chemical King, Projectra, Satan Girl, and Duplicate Boy find themselves haunted by the ghost of Lume! They eventually reveal this ghost to be, in reality, the work of an evil Bismollian scientist whom they discover was responsible for sending the Sun-Eater in the first place! After capturing him (her?), the Legionnaires receive a mysterious package, which, unbenownst to them, is actually a device for making medallions sent to them by the grateful Bismollians, who want to reward them all with medals for their great work in capturing their evil scientist! Not knowing what the machine does, the Legionnaires allow it to sit unused in their trophy room, until that day in which it will ultimately save the universe!
