Probably not since he is going to want to tell some of the backstory within the story. BUT as I've stated before the Who's Who in the LOSH series made me a fan. it answered nearly all the hundreds of questions I had.
The last Legion Secret Files reminded me of it...and really helps out new readers.
I know this is a new series and all...but I can't wait for the Waid Legion Secret Files! We don't need a whole series since this IS a new Legion....I hope we get a Secret Files...probably not but we can only hope.

IMO, because this new series could be a "new way" to do legion, I'd like to see a general secret files with all the characters and any versions of them since the origin...a focus on the costumes and how any character and his role in LSH have been changed in the time

I would love to see a Legion Secret Files, since I am a somewhat new Legion fan. I get a little overwhelmed here reading all the threads about the past volumes. But I am catching up....little by little....
“By far, the strangest of all living beings is VALIDUS! No one knows his origin … nor even precisely what he is! But his power is known and feared throughout the universe! His strength is incalculable, and though he does not possess a superior intellect, the pure energy of his brain causes mental lightning to flash around his head, he is force personified!”

Hey Validus you don't need to know about any Legion history for the new series. I'm a long time fan and know as much about as you do. But if you really wanna learn about Legion history just cause you wanna be a Legion nut? The Legion help file can be found here http://omega.animefringe.com/lshhlp/ It has info from every past incarnations of the legion. It's helped me greatly! You have to download the file. It's great Again Waid's old Who's Who series (he was editor and wrote lots of it) you can find in back issues. It's a retcon history of the Legion post Crisis but it starts at the beggining up until Crisis...30 years of history. It rocks! The Legion Secret Files 3004 had a basic introduction to the postboot Legion which I thought kicked tail! You might find some of info useful or atleast fun. My site below has a visual history of sorts of past incarnations of the legion. But again the new series you don't need to know much...if at all. Jorge

The only consistent feature of all of your dissatisfying relationships is you.
Don't judge me!

IIRC, they've said there aren't any plans for a new Secret Files at present.

Sales would be the key I suppose. If this book sells like they want it to (and like I hope it does) there ought to be some spinoff properties. I suggest that if the numbers look good we should try to push our young editor Steve wacker to sell sell sell the Legion in the DC offices.

I would love a new Who's Who in the Legion, but not isn't the time for it. It should wait, at minimum, a year into the series.

It's probably time for a new "Secret Files" or "Who's Who" to be printed. I like the idea about showing all versions/incarnations of all the Legionnaires. Both Senor Girl/Projectra and Star Boy would be very interesting entries...especially after this new version of the LSH is introduced.
Long Live the Legion!!!

I want to see some new comicbook bound Who's Whos (Those binder page versions got tedious)!
Who's Who was my first does of the Legion of Super-Heroes too. My uncle use to buy me the regular DCU ones when we went out to comic book stores and one day back in the late 80s we came across issues like 1, 3, 5, and 7 (who only buys even numbers?!?).

I think it's the same people who buy comics in my town, Monkey ... I picked up exactly the same set of issues as you at my local comic shop about three years ago. Were the entries in issues 2, 4, and 6 really that much more interesting?
I'd love to see someone (especially a fan) produce a full set of Who's Who-style entries for ALL versions of the Legion to date. There are some great profiles here and there on the Net, but nothing that's both original and comprehensive of all versions.

I spent a lot of hours arranging and rearranging my Who's Who notebooks! I liked the binder idea so I could associate information at my whim, like putting the L.E.G.I.O.N. with the Legion, although in it's own section.
Obviously I love the idea of a new Who's Who. The idea of a section comparing all of the version's costumes and 'looks' would be fun.

But, . . . the time is shorter than we think.

No prob. Makes more sense to do it that way. But the feeling I get is that they are going to try to integrate the kind of info you would get in a Secret File within the stories proper - witness, for example, the spotlight on Lu in #3. But I wouldn't mind seeing an updated Who's Who some day - might be a while, though, considering they've just done the DC Encyclopedia.

I feel sorry for all the postboot fans who won't get the kind of detailed background info on characters that we got with the preboot. I mean, we'll never find out Murdermaton's backstory and stuff, or Twine's real name!

And then, you know, go around posting it like its fact.
For instance: Twine's real name? Everyone knows its Hilda-Su L'Trzzz.

Just bumping this historically important thread, in which Twine's name was revealed for the first time!
