I would like DC (Direct?) to release Alex Ross' masterpiece as a wall poster or an affordable print for the Legion's 50th Anniversary next year. DC wins by making all the money and the fans win by finally owning that long-sought after painting. At the same time, they should also release the Price Guide cover and re-release this Poster . I have the later, but it's gone through a lot.

I don't recall exactly what the Ross print looks like, but I do recall it being nice.

Is there a version of that Giffen poster that would work well as wallpaper on a widescreen monitor? This looks too blurry on mine.

I requested this on the DCD message board a couple of years ago, and someone poo pooed the idea -- because he had the litho -- and wanted it to remain an exclusive.
I have no time for selfish, self-absorbed people like that. He has the litho -- we just want a friggin' poster!
And yes, I have the original Giffen poster.
Hey, that 2-page Cockrum spread from Superboy & the LSH 200 would also make one fantastic poster.

This is a good idea! The Ross, the Giffen, the Cockrum spread... there was also the spread from #300... maybe they could do a whole series of posters and splash pages.
Certainly a mass-produced poster would have less value than the original litho, so Litho Lad should be satisfied with his exclusivity.

I'd love a new copy of the Giffen poster. I'd be afraid to try to remove my old one from the wall in my parent's house. And the Ross Litho is like the Holy Grail to me. Don't anyone get between me and a reasonbly priced copy. It could get ugly.
But what's the Price Guide cover look like?

Nice stuff, but I personally would prefer the Legion page from the Justice maxi-series #12 (anybody got that as a wallpaper???) - it was terrific.
Which Giffen poster are you all talking about? v.4 #13? No that can't be... or can it?
Or do you mean the GDS TPB poster?
