I like the covers for both of the main Legion titles. I hope the issues themselves match the interest. The Legion proper one sure makes Element Lad look somewhat cowardly. Otherwise, I'm loving having Sprouse back on covers.
Wow. Really not sure how I feel about all that armor-looking plating on the RetroNu Legion outfits. I suppose it's practical, though. Garth's costume reminds me of the Threeboot look a lot, especially with the power effect. I'll miss the cape now that it's gone from history, oddly. Conversely, I'm loving Imra's hair.

I love the new uniforms in the two main books. (Well, maybe not Dawnstars. I just think the opening in the front should stop with that first black band.) I want ALL of them to have new outfits and I can hardly wait to see the (I hope) Jim Lee designs.
The origin book looks interesting, too, I just hope they keep the uniform designs they wear then, separate from the current Legion timeline designs.
I wonder if the Daxamite is Dev?
A singin' and a dancin' along the way.

"How far is Timber Wolf willing to go to rescue a teammate?"
Judging by the cover it is Wildfire who is being restrained not Timber Wolf so the solicit text seems a bit incongruous. Must be Dawnstar who needs rescuing judging how Wildfire-ed up he is.

That's from IDW and has not been solicited yet, as far as I have seen.
Active LMB character is still Beast Boy.

Not really liking the Sprouse covers. I think he's a great artist but he doesn't have the Sci Fi futuristic style the LSH needs to pull in new readers. LSH #1 had a better style IMO. In the Sprouse covers you can't even tell the book takes place in the future. Saw the preview for #1 and the interior art IS futuristic and fabulous. I hope there's at least a little explanation of the Legion Lost crew and what exactly happened.

Though I guess pushing a flegling into the jaws of a Daxamite foe is a few steps above 'tough' love (or below, depending...). I'm psyched to imagine Jan as a continual mentor for Chemical Kid and hope I'm not reading too much into a cover and text solicit.

I can see that happening: Jan leaving Chemical Kid alone because he knows just what the Kid is capable of with his powers.
I'd think most of the Legionnaires would know Jan well enough to have an idea that that's his plan - after all, in this continuity he'd have been a former Legion leader.
But the drama could still be there by having it be a gamble - does Chemical Kid have enough practice with his powers to really stop that Daxamite?

That'd be a great idea and I hope that's something that's followed up on. After all, there's really no one left in the galaxy to our knowledge now that Alchemical Girl is powerless that can relate to Hadru's abilities much like Jan can. The Legion could use a few more lasses. Adding Dragonwing, Glorith, and Comet Queen only brings the active roster number up to seven. Eight if we're supposed to count Harmonia, which I hope not.

I probably shouldn't speculate since I have no intention of getting the book, but: 1. Chemical Kid should be able to interfere with how the anti-lead serum works for the Daxamite without poisoning him. 2. Who wants to bet that this 'mad' Daxamite turns out to be named Dev-Em?

Well, I think Renegade had a pretty good debut in the first issue anyway. Stepping up and K.O.ing Jo by surprise sure caught the others off guard.

At least the Legion still maintains a good gender balance, with a near 50-50 split between the guys and the gals. I wonder what the plans for the retired Legionnaires (Lightning Lad, Saturn Girl, Sensor Girl...) are? Levitz's older runs featured many retired Legionnaires prominently - the 3 founders, Duo Damsel, Bouncing Boy, Projectra all made plenty of appearances after they'd retired. Hopefully we'll keep seeing them again.
