Awesome episode. I rank it right up there with the substitutes episode. I'll say no more because those in the CST,MST, and PST time zones have yet to see it. Don't miss it. It's a 9.5 on a scale of 0-10.

What an awesome episode! Cosmic Boy, Colossal Boy, and Ferro Lad! All having crucial roles to play in the story. Vi, Jan, Blok, Star Boy, Tyroc, Dream Girl (maybe some others but those are the ones I recall) all put in cameos via monitors for the elction! And Chuck saves the day but now bears a heavy burden! Yay BB! The only part I didn't care for was the conflict between the three Founders. This goes against everything in my Legion's Lore. Rokk, Imra, and Garth always stood together as one and that's in large part what made the Legion so special. Oh well, I guess the writers a pulling stuff from one of those fake boots ( )

This episode was THE AWESOME! Wow, where do I even begin?
Lightning Lad being a pretty good leader. Awesome.
Some more Bouncing/Triplicate girl and LL/Saturn girl shippage. Awesome.
Colassal boy, Cosmic Boy and Ferro Lad. Awesome.
Saturn girl calling Cosmic Boy on his crap. Awesome.
LL hugging his parents. Awwww.
The Easter eggs. Awesome.
Bouncing Boy telling everyone what to do and becoming team leader. AWESOME TIMES A THOUSAND!
Now I'll have to wait about a month for the two-parter. CRAP!

Another thoroughly enjoyable ep. that successfully mixed action, established Legion comic mythology, new Legion cartoon mythology and laughs (CB-1 meet CB-2). But, it left me with two questions: in the Ranzz family picture was Garth's twin a boy and who WAS that villian who appeared in the end?
So what.

At first, I thought I recognized him as one of Darkseid's guys, but I couldn't remember who. Then I went searching and realized he looks like Juggernaut. If Marvel's villains are crossing over into the 31st century, the Legion could be in real trouble. So we have a picture of Ayla now, but she was a no-show with their parents. Sounds like a second-season episode to me. I really enjoyed the use of team dynamics in this one even if I, too, felt a bit uncomfortable about the founders fighting. This personality is definitely more the Cos of the current Legion. And if you believe the press stuff, Lu isn't part of the core team, but she seems to be getting as much, if not more, screentime as Timber Wolf. (Maybe that means a four-pack figure!) I found LL's comment about admitting Ferro Lad without an audition interesting when that's what he did for TW, but at least others knew about TW. No matter what, I'm having really high expectations for the finale two-parter now. I hope they can live up to them.

"I demand a recount!"
LOL
It bears repeating - AWESOME!!
Lightning Lad's last line gave me chills.
We saw Dreamy on the monitor during the voting. Have we seen her before?
Maybe the new villian is a Khund?
Man, this cartoon just gets better every week.

Whoa. Can that be Roxxas?
I still think they're setting us up for the classic silver age story that introduces Ayla.
I love getting to see Ferro Lad,I hope like heck we get to see the induction of Karate Kid, Princess Projecrtra and Nemesis Kid before the inevitable Sun Eater story.
I wonder how Jim Shooter feels about seeing his legendary character added to the toon?

I'm guessing that villain at the end was a rogue Controller, since it's already been hinted that the Sun-Eater will be in the two part season finale.
I also liked how Ferro Lad hinted to Lightning Lad the reason why he wears a mask.
Watching television is not an activity.

Now *that's* a cool idea; have LL blasted into a coma (instead of one of my all-time faves, Ferro Lad, getting killed) and have the season 2 opener the intro of Ayla, with LL coming back a couple of episodes into the season. Any idea that keeps my boy Andy alive is a good one in my book.

Awesome episode! Cosmic Boy and Ferro Lad are 2 of my favourite Legionnaires and it was great to see them introduced! Hopefully we'll see more of them next season or in this season's finale. Sadly we have to wait until sometime in May (according to tv.com) to see the 2 parter. And if it's the story that I think it is, wow! They wouldn't dare kill off a Legionnaire, would they?
Possible villain for 2 parter seen at the end: Rogue Controller a Khund Universo
My guess is that it's a Rogue Controller.
The best way to find out where you're from is to find out where you're going and then work backwards. Where are you going? I don't know!

They didn't shy away from it in the 60s when most of the readers were kids not much older than the target audience for the cartoon. I'm just wondering how many will die. What a change of tone from last week. Congats to Chuckie! I couldn't happen to a greater guy. I missed most of the faces on the monitors at his election. I caught Dream Girl and Element Lad. Who else? I have to join the other voices who hate the founder triangle thing. It's an ugly part of the Legion that should remain buried in the past forever, imo. It seriously compromised my pleasure in the story and I can only hope they don't pursue it any further. (But chances are they will.) WHY-nath has changed to WIN-ath, as it should be. Ayla's absence is most conspicuous and more than a little worrisome in its implications for LL's future, as others have noted. I had hoped for more in-depth characterization for (the presumably soon-to-be-departed) Ferro Lad but he did good on his rookie mission. The final scene -- I'm also going along with the theory it's a rouge Controller about to unleash the Sun Eater. The next two months of reruns will be absolute torture until we find out.

I dunnow about what people are saying about the conflict between the three founders. I mean, otherwise, Cosmic Boy would have just been superfluous in this episode - he wouldn't have affected any kind of drama. Just "Whee! Hi best friend/former leader!"

It just really felt like the Legion. Lots of characters, lots of action in the name of helping. Excellent characterization. I like the conflict between LL and Cos. It makes sense. Garth has a problem with the way Cos is doing things, so he says something. That's great. Cos doesn't back down. Potatoe, Potah-toe, let's call the whole thing Bouncing Boy!
Great to see Colossal Boy and Ferro Lad in action! Fanboy geek-out here! And, just to top that off....DREAMY!!!! Can't wait to see her *do* something, but I'll accept her holo-ing it in until then. (Nice to see the other cameos, too, including lil Ayla in the family portrait.)

Best episode yet!
Lots of the Trips and Chuck interacting...loved the scene with just them and Superman in the ship. Echoes of the Lus two great loves.
Brainy to Colossal Boy "is that as small as you get"? And CBs comeback line.
Only quibble...Ferro Lad isn't shown to "iron up" his hands when using super strength.

OK now that the cats out of the bag I can comment more. Great to see Bouncing Boy as the new leader. I'm partial to him. That means he'll be in every episode now. Great to see Colossal Boy. He was great. "I demand a recount." Hilarious. Ferro Lad was cool too but I'd rather see more of Colossal Boy. Waiting for an episode that would be at least a 2 if not 4 parter having the entire LOH appear along with the substututes. Now that would be cool. Maybe next season. That would have something for everyone. Great epsiode all the way.

I agree with everyone; very good episode.
My guess for the mystery villain at the end? Zaryan. Isn't that about what his ship looked like?

"CB1" and "CB2"? That was cute. I don't mind the conflict between the Founding three - I've always appreciated the fact that a team this big would have tension. I agree that this was probably the best episode yet (though I think Chuck's plan was a little too silver age in its gimmickry -- Superman could've dug that trench all on his own and I don't understand how a forrest fire can redirect a flood - that's not remotely possible is it?)

Zaryan is one of my all-time favorite villians. Now that would so honkin cool! I didn't have my glasses on when they showed the Ranzz family picture so the the twins both looked like boys to me, was I wrong or what?
So what.
