Inspired by the Somewhat New, Somewhat Different Legion of Super-Heroes Poll and Emily Sivana, I bring you a brand new poll. Legion World has formed a unique team of Legionnaires, but now they need a unique team of super-villains to battle. They won't be battling just any villains though, they'll be battling a whole Legion of them! Like the previous poll, I've divided the members of the Legion of Super-Villains and several other, related teams in to small groups. Your challenge, should you accept it, is to vote for ONE villain from each group to join the ranks of an all new DCLWNu LSV.

Thank you. As usual, I try to go for the best tactical combination.
1. Leland McCauley- He fits the evil corporate trope better than any other Legion antagonist. 2. Lightning Lord- He has a great backstory and personal motivation to be a villain. He is also an Elemental, which is nessecary since the Legion of of Super-Heroes has alot of Elementals. 3. Beauty Blaze- Elemental (Fire) 4. Persuader- He fits the fighter niche nicely, and they can be very useful in battle. 4. Emerald Empress- I picked Salu Digby because she would have alot of information about the Legion of Super-Heroes. There would also be alot of tension created by her presence. 5. Flare- Yes, another Elemental (Fire). However, since the Legion of Super-Heroes has at least two of these it makes sense. 6. Evillo- I picked him by default because I don't know the other characters. 7. Nemesis Kid- Mimics are very valuable in battle. 8. Alchemical Girl- I picked her by default because it sounds like her power would be useful. 9. Phantom Lad- Intangibility is very useful. 10. Titania- I need a super-strong character. 11. Tyr- Another fighter and his design looks cool. 12. Evolvo- I don't know who he is but I hope his powers are useful. 13. Density- This power can be just as valuable as intangibility. 14. Abyss- What I said about Evolvo applies here as well. 15. Elysion- He is my favorite Legion super-villain. His personality just oozes evil. I also love his powerset. 16. Plant Kid- This power is pretty useful when you think about it. 17. Golden Boy- I need another super-strong character. 18. Steggus- I need anotehr super-strong character. Wild Card- Chameleon Chief, Earth-Man, Silver Slasher, and Storm Boy.
Go with the good and you'll be like them; go with the evil and you'll be worse than them.- Portuguese Proverb

So many fire-throwing options! Beauty Blaze, Inferno, Dr. Regulus, Flare, Sun-Killer! A fair number of telepaths, as well, with Saturn Queen, Esper Lass, Jeyra Entin and Evolvo Lad... Terror Firma, I notice, didn't make an appearance, but since Waid didn't bother to name some of them, that probably speaks as to their importance, in the grand scheme of Legion villainy. Originally posted by Emily Sivana: 12. Evolvo- I don't know who he is but I hope his powers are useful. 14. Abyss- What I said about Evolvo applies here as well. Evolvo is the same dude as the Hero of Lallor, Evolvo Lad. He can devolve into a massively strong caveman/gorilla form, or evolve into a big-brained super-intelligent future man, who is, in some continuities, telepathic and telekinetic. Info on Abyss can be found here. http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Abyss_Post-Zero_Hour Just add a ( before the P in Post and a ) after the r in Hour.

Perhaps, though, it was just a side effect of being one of the few threeboot villains with some exposure. I started to write out the Terra Firma characters but, indeed, only two other members were ever even named. I decided to go ahead and include Lemnos and Elysion because they had a fair amount of exposure.

Bleh. I just realized I left Lightning Lord of all people off the Wild Card list. Feel free to mention here if he would have been one of your picks.

Picked him right off the bat. Can't have the LSV without him.
Active LMB character is still Beast Boy.

I did it ... I went for the creepiest of the choices ... the most likely to twist the knife ... except for a couple of concessions to add an energy user or strong 'guy' to balance things out.
1. Computo ... out of revenge, it creates a whole LSV .. but remains in the shadows until the big reveal at the end. 2. Cosmic King - 'cause he's under used ... although i love Mekt. 3. Validus - as founder of the Fatal 5 .. just to turn things on their head ... how scary would a really intelligent Validus be ? ! 4. Darkmans creepy 5. Apollos creepy 6. chameleon chief - creepy possibilities 7. Quanto - 'cause he's powerful and we need some energy users. 8. Phantom Lad - I remember him as very angry. 9. Silver Slasher 10. Ol Vir - creepy. 11. Evolvo
plus Twine, ze tongue (whom i don't know but he sounds creepy), micro lass and titania for strength, and i think sun emporer and lemnos ...
more or less.

I preferred Ol-Vir to Superboy Prime (down the line). Ol-Vir would use your entrails to summon some dark god. Superboy Prime would just decapitate you in a temper tantrum. ^ I don't know, I thought Ol-Vir was creepier .... and Superboy Prime's too shouty and whiny.

Grimbor beating out the likes of Mordru and Universo?
Twine and Abyss tied for a spot?
People know who Mordecai is?
A chance that all three LSV founders might make it due to wild cards?
It's all true (so far) and part of the fun! If you haven't voted yet for this somewhat bizarre version of the Legion of Super-Villains, get to voting!

I think that, for me anyway, certain characters (Mordru, Universo) work better as solo villains and not as part of a team.
Active LMB character is still Beast Boy.

kind of surprised that we don't see Blok on the League of Super Assassin list...I thought it would be neat if we vote one or two villains to become reformed like Blok did before. As for me...I would love to see Spider Girl and Ron Karr be reformed. Ron Karr to join the SUBS because it did clicked!

As for me...I would love to see Spider Girl and Ron Karr be reformed. Ron Karr to join the SUBS because it did clicked! Ron-Karr is on my short list to figure out how to use his powers effectively (flatten himself to a two-dimensional state, becoming sharper than the Atomic Axe and able to slip through molecular bonds to go anywhere). Whether he then becomes a scary effective villain, or is horrified by his potential to chop people up and swerves away from that path (perhaps for as silly a reason as that the sight of blood revolts him...), would be up in the air. Spider-Girl, I'd like to come back, with yet another hair color. We've seen red, we've seen blue, and we've seen white. (And, thanks to Lady Godiva, we've seen what a blonde hair-heroine looks like.) I'm ready to see a black-haired Spider-Girl. I also wouldn't mind if her powers worked a little bit more like in her first appearance, where her hair could entangle people without remaining attached to her head, sort of launching off locks of animated hair to grapple with people, instead of this 'Madame Medusa knock-off' thing she's got going on right now. That could be a funky visual, a lock of hair detaching from her head and flying through the air to grapple someone. Perhaps, nodding to her name, 'Spider-Girl,' she can only have eight 'locks' active at a time, and if she's launched them all, she's temporarily got a very short haircut (although they regenerate quickly if they can't return and re-attach).

Some villains are, IMO, 'too big for the room' on a villain team. Darkseid, for instance, loses a lot of gravitas if he's associated with most of these folk. Leland McCauley, on the other hand, as an 'evil R.J. Brande' is perfect to organize / finance / underwrite this sort of thing.

oh yeah Universo is way too powerful...he did control many planets once (as in Project Universo - amazing story!)...and Mordru....I wonder if he is no longer a Legion foe since he is now seen in Demon Knight book....no more JSA foe for sure.

I pretend, in my own private universe, where we have cookies for breakfast, that Mordru was redeemed ages ago, the darkness cleansed from him in some ritual involving the teachers of Sorcerer's World and Mysa, and is now a potent force for good, having worked his way back up through the ranks and being, to the shock and horror of everyone else in the universe, the popular and benevolent and democratically elected) ruler of Sorcerer's World. On a purely pragmatic note, he's happy that this new life he's leading has all the perks of his old life, and doesn't involve him getting beaten up by super-heroes and imprisoned under tons of earth, every couple of years...

It's a shame he never got rebooted - I would have loved to have seen how formidable he could have been with a different personality or motive. I'm just now remembering, that did happen in some form didn't it? LSH v3 #27 I believe? I remember Mysa was part of the ceremony. I wonder what happened there? I guess when things got handed over to Giffen for the Five Year Gap that got handwaved away and subsequently he's been a super-villain for just about everybody.

And we're done! Here's the results of our somewhat new, entirely different Legion of Super-Villains:
01. Leland McCauley (benefactor) 02. Lightning Lord (founder) 03. Beauty Blaze 04. Tharok 05. Emerald Empress (Sayra) 06. Caress 07. Apollo (tie!) 07. Evillo (tie!) 08. Nemesis Kid 09. Black Mace 10. Esper Lass 11. Silver Slasher 12. Zymyr 13. Evolvo 14. Cherry Bomb 15. Abyss (tie!) 15. Twine (tie!) 16. Elysion 17. Inferno 18. Earth-Man 19. Grimbor 20. Immortus 21. Chameleon Chief 22. Cosmic King 23. Saturn Queen 24. Titania
Even with two ties, that's a 25 member Legion (not counting benefactor McCauley)! Not bad and the numbers turned out better than I had suspected when I started the game.
Thanks for voting everyone!

Interesting mix of characters. I wondered why Titania is so high on the list, then I realized almost no other super-strong characters made it on the list (I think Black Mace is the only true melee fighter here?)
Wonder why Validus didn't get the wild card, though? I wonder if he would have gotten more votes if he hadn't been revealed to be Garridan Ranzz?
I love how the Fatal Five members all had totals so close to one another.
And, unlike in the LSH poll, we got all three original LSVers here. Nice.

I always thought Lesla Lar would have been a perfect fit for the LSV considering the idea of an opposite legion
