DARREN IS GAY?!?!?!
The 6 remaining guys were split into 3 groups of 2. James had to pick 1 from each group to stay and the other had to go.
Time to get my Gaydar tuned up. Darren, who I actually started to REALLY like in this episode turned out to be gay. I never really had an immediate physical reaction to him, but something about him really stood out for me this time. I felt bad for him because he really did seem to be connecting with James and he turned out to be a sweetie.
I didn't like Brian as much after this episode, even though he's got a cute smile and great body. I wasn't as terribly impressed with Franklin either (jealousy can make a man u-g-l-y) this episode and I still can't stand Wes. I was really sad to see Darren and Robb go.
Shawn got the best line in the whole show... when he was voted off, he took a moment to thank everyone and said something about how the show is really going to help the "GAY REVOLUTION"!!!
Did you guys know that we are having a revolution? Any suspicions of my thinking he was straight were confirmed with those 2 words. Still, except for the whole "I'm really straight" issue, he seemed to be a pretty open and sincere guy so he may have been truly sincere about his feelings. He was the only guy (that we saw on-camera) who got voted off that made the effort to say goodbye and hug everyone.
The 3 finalists...
Brian- A little cutie, but is he a player?
Wes- Can't stand him. Never could.
Franklin- hmmm. Has been a favorite. Of the final 3, he is my fave, but...
Gay.Com suggested that the producers of the show might have made sure that 2 straight guys were paired together in this last round in order to insure that there was at least 1 straight guy left in the end. If there is only 1 straight guy left, as the hostess told James, then by this reasoning -the last straight guy would be Franklin -since he was paired with Shawn. Make sense?
James' reaction when the hostess told him that one of the remaining guys was straight was... reserved. He had a big smile while waiting for the news and after she told him, his expression didn't change at all for several seconds. Then, still with a smile, he said something like "oh really." or "that's great". I can't remember exactly what he said but you could tell he was pissed. Earlier in this same episode he was saying that he didn't think he could emotionally handle it if he picked a guy that was just playing the game. In the previews it showed just a small part of Andra's reaction to the news... oh, there's gonna be some broken furniture next week. She was PISSED!!!
There's a much more detailed account of what happened at Gay.com
This really is sick. But I can't help but hope that James picks the right guy. Next week is it.
