Anyone else think that Dixon on Alias is a dead ringer for the Jon Stewart Green Lantern?

Well, he's already the Martian Manhunter on "Justice League". I guess if "Lex Luthor" can be the Flash, Dix can be GL...
Btw, I always pictured someone younger for portraying John Stewart

Can't wait fot the episode in a few hours tonight.
Are Lee and I the only ones who think that the NSA (in particular that obtuse bald guy from the first two episodes who Syd ripped a new hole in teh men's john) had something to do with Syd's 2-year disappearance? It could explain why he had Jack thrown in the slammer when we has getting too close to the truth.

Honestly, I think that dweeby NSA guy is too clueless and self-involved to really have had anything to do with Syd's disappearance. But I could be wrong -- maybe his dweebish appearance is meant to mask his more nefarious activities (like the CIA mole who used to give Vaughn a hard time until Jack killed him), but in this case I doubt it.

It could explain why he had Jack thrown in the slammer when we has getting too close to the truth. I too think the "obtuse bald guy" is involved with Syd's MIA years. Since this show likes to throw curves, I'm almost suspecting Vaughn's wife, Lauren, had a hand in Syd's absence, or at least knows more than she lets on. BTW, why would an American senator's daughter have a British accent anyway? I predict Lauren will be revealed to be an enemy or will die by the end of season 2. Isn't this how Alias gets rid of all significant others (eg. Sydney's fiancé, Will, Dixon and Sloane's wives)? Although Will isn't dead, any bets on how and when he'll return. And what about Frannie? If Syd can come back, why not her?

Maybe Lauren just thinks it gives her a worldly, debonair air (the accent.) Frankly, she needs all the help she can get now that Syd's back in town!
As for "Evil Francie," I've heard that she's coming back for November sweeps. Can't wait for the rematch of last year's season finale slugfest! No idea when Will will be returning. I hope soon (frankly, I think he's a better match for Sydney than Michael Vaughn, but that's just me.)
I don't know if Lauren will die or not. We've seen from the Super Bowl episode last year that the creative team behind Alias isn't afraid to change course mid-season if necessary. I just hope the Covenant gets more interesting, they seem rather blah for the moment. I'm sure once Irina shows up things will get more interesting. And, of course, the return of Sloane to his all-out badness.
Predictions? There's a bullet in Sloane's gun with Dixon's name written all over it, though he probably won't use it until the last season. We haven't heard the end of the Prophecy. I hope they delve more into the superspy program Syd and Sark were subjected to. More awesome guest stars! I'm a little worried about the Syd-Vaughn-Lauren thing getting tired in a few weeks, but maybe the writers will devise ways to keep the conflict fresh.
Love Alias!

I really hope Sloane was lying about the Rimbaldi thing and that there was more to it than the word "peace" (talk about anti-climactic). Maybe that's what he used it to control Syd for two years.
I have no need to see Will again, or evil Francie (she was shot in the shoulders so I'm not surprised she'll be back). I would like to see her mom again though.
Did it seem odd to anyone that Syd was the strongest objector to going to Sloane for help when Dixon (whose wife was killed by Sloane) was in the room? I guess they wanted to make the scene about Syd, but it seemed odd that Dixon didn't even chime in.

You're not alone in thinking that the level of "okayness" Dixon has with Sloane is very odd. Surely the writers realize this too.

Maybe Dixon is being mind controlled the way Sydney was! Wouldn't that be a kicker -- kill his wife, then make him his puppet.

JUST saw the Nov. 1 episode! Having Evil Francie (Allison) back was a HOOT! She is one ASS-KICKING BITCH! I can't wait for round 3!
Of course, the most startling revelations came in the scenes from next week. Looks like all bets are off as the NSC finds out Syd's secret, Mrs. Vaughn finds out Vaughn has been lying to her, Syd gets carted away... I can't wait! Next week is going to kick this season into high gear.

Anybody see this week's episode? Lots of things revealed and lots of new questions raised. Oh, and Lauren was a real bitch this week, while Sydney and Vaughn shared a remarkable moment. And Jack was back to his bad-assness. The only thing I didn't like was the amount of time devoted to the mission in China... they could have spent it on other things more pertinent to the ongiong plot... though when Irina's involvement in the past 2 years was revealed, it FLOORED me. Can't WAIT for Irina's eventual return (and it looks like the status quo s going to be shook up in the next episode. I can't help but think that Sloane is orchestrating some of this somehow.)

This show never lets up, that's for sure! Jennifer Garner was on Leno saying how they're headed for another big status quo upheaval for mid-season. I imagine Irina plays a big part and that Syd will get her memory back, which will lead to the big revelation that will turn things upside down.
Regarding this weeks's ep: -- Good to see something might happen with Dixon. I've been worried that despite the promotion, he's being relegated to "exposition man" and the guy who gives orders. The look he gave Sloan at the beginning was priceless. -- Cool little invisible car, but it's a miracle nobody stepped on the thing. I'm not sure how much sense it made to use it in a crowd like that. I also have to wonder if the thing has a self-destruct or something. It's not like they can just leave it there until the Chinese find it and copy the tech. -- That dream sequence was hell creepy! -- The scenes with Vaughn and Jack were great -- good to see someone stand up to Jack (though he had a great comeback in the end).

What are the odds we're going to see a scene that's a reversal of last season where Syd's in the cell behind glass and we see Irina Derevko saunter in to question/ visit her somehow?

If not this season, I GUARANTEE sometime during the course of the series. That's just too juicy to not use.

Anybody see last night's episode? We DID get to see Syd behind bars, but no glass cell. I agree that scene would be hell-a-cool!
It was mainly Jack's episode, but got around to everyone nicely. I can't wait for that dickhead Lindsey to get his... but mainly, I'm waiting for Sloane's personal agenda to unfold. Does anyone else get the feeling that he's terasing everything a little too cavalierly? Like... he already knows what the future holds...
Anyways, I give this episode 4 stars. Best of the season so far (even better than the premiere ep.)

Another great ep! Between Alias and 24, I'm not sure which is the bigger roller coaster ride. It seems that the entire cast is going to be on the outs with the CIA. It'll be interesting to see if Sydney finds some way to rejoin or will her new status quo be as a fugitive? (well, as long as the status quo lasts on this show) If so, maybe she'll finally hook up with her mom and work with her for a time (but of course secretly working with Jack and Vaughn as well -- Sydney and Vaughn need to have clandestine meetings again in some room with a lot of fencing ). Either way, this show keeps ya on your toes!

Another great epidsode on Sunday! If the status quo shake up is rumoured to be true, my next Alias shock prediction (if it hasn't been bandied about before) is that it will be revealed Sloane's perverse infatuation with Sydney only exists because Syd is actually his daughter, not Jack's! Perhaps the "Peace" message he deciphered from the Rimbaldi artifact means for him to make peace with his enemy, his daughter.

The whole "Sloane is really Syd's father" thing has been hanging in the air for too long -- they need to address it and get it over with once and for all and get on with it.

For some reason I woke up at 6 this morning and the name "Lazarey" was on my mind. It occured to me, as trite and obvious as it may be, that maybe he's not really dead! Or back from the dead as his name not so sublty implies. If he turns up alive, Syd's off the hook for his murder. Evil Francie turned up alive again through some Rambaldi miracle and it makes me think of Sloane being shot in the last ep -- Did he undergo the same treatment/ medication? Why was he so insistent that he wasn't able to take morphine? I'm starting to think there was a reason for that.
Speaking of Lazarey, is there a reason he's the father Sark *never* knew about? I think they might have implied once that Sloane was really Sark's father (or maybe I inferred it from something). If Sloane was behind it all, did he manipulate the truth so that Sark (his son?) would benefit from Lazarey's "death", giving the Covenant incentive to spring him from the feds?
And what's with Syd's dream? She pulled out yards of plastic tubing from her wound -- is that a reference to umbilical chord /fallopian tubes (as the placement of her wound might suggest -- if I were a doctor, I'd know for sure)? Did she have some eggs harvested or something?
Is there a big X-Files type puzzle here or do they just throw all these story elements at us as excuses for missions then move on to the next one so fast before we can think about it? What was the deal with that flower that came from the Rambaldi device? Too bad it's not a comic that I can flip through for quick reference. I'm sure there are websites and episode guides, but I have a feeling there's a *ton* of specualtion out there.

Anyone else think that Syd and Sarc could be siblings or at least half-siblings sired by none other than Sloane?! Is there something spookily similar surrounding the letter "S" they all Share?

There are so many strands of plot hanging in this show that it defies description. We know Sark and Syd were both part of the superspy training program for little kids... as far as Rambaldi, it's no the back burner, but I'm sure there will be more shocking revelations about it by the end of this season... probably having to do with Irina and what she's been doing for the past 2 years.
That goofy grin on the face of Sloane last episode in the chopper was really wild. There's more than we know going on. At this point, I wouldn't say that anything is impossible. That's what I love about this show, it's accessible for viewers, but there's so much going on in the background.
