If you have the ability to review the Great Brain Robbery episode, watch carefully the scenes when Flash addresses the Society of Super-Villains around their meeting table. At one point a scene depicts Gentlemen Ghost (I hope that ID is right) and three others whose names I cannot recall (one has a star-shaped mask) and Mon-El listening to the speech. If you use digital tech, his left brass cape-button can be discerned for a sec, but on a pause, it is most certainly the hero of the Adventure era; even the hair style is authentic Lar Gand from 1963! He appears for a moment, grim-faced, and only from the shoulders up, mostly blocked by the star-masked villain, and reacts only without speaking. Even on my DVD's slowest speed, it is the only time that I see him. Easter Egg Early!

Really? I thought I caught a Mon-El image during the show but dismissed the idea as wishful thinking. (I haven't rewound it and watched it a second time yet)
As soon as I finish watching the Ultimate Avengers (in the DVD player on pause right now) I'll have to check this out!!
Thanks, LL!

It does look like him, even the red collar screams Mon-El, but why would he be at a meeting for the SSoSV? And the gold button does not appear to be solid (note the red of the uniform in the center). So he was "tweaked" for the show, or it is someone else. I wondered about any other DC characters, particularly those with dark hair and that color scheme, and the only one that came to mind was Sonar, the GL villain. Being foreign royalty, he had gold buttons on his shirt, and his uniform was red and blue, but the colors were reversed (blue shirt, red cape). I guess we'll have to wait for confirmation from someone at DC. But boy, it looks like Lar!!

The outfit I remember for Sonar was more like Craig describes, the red and blue reversed from Mon and he had the military style brocaid across the chest and his cape was attached to his collar, like it was one piece. I'm not saying it isn't him because I don't know all the costumes Sonar wore but he looks more like Mon to me.

I was excited the first time I saw him, too, but it does turn out to be Sonar -- gold buttons and all.

You folks got the ID right. After looking back into the "Dead Reckoning" episode he is shown in a group scene from the waist up (though further from camera) and has the costume details mentioned above. Even his hair style is different. Gratz to all but I still think the "Mon" from "Brain Robbery" is an Easter Egg to us. The resemblance is just TOO close

So when did they reverse his color scheme? Just for the show? His last appearance in comics (the Elongated man mini in the early 1990's I think), his outfit was blue with a red cape.

I don't ever remember an issue that had it flipped the way the JLU episope does. Poor editing, or creative license (as blue suit, red cape is too much like Superman?)
That headshot and facial expression really shouts "Mon-El"... they must have been going for "deposed royalty" rather than "noble hero" since it was Sonar.

Here is his first appearance from 1962, Green Lantern v2 #14: And here is his last comic appearance (to my knowledge) 30 years later in issue #4 of the Elongated Man mini: So why reverse his colors after 30 years worth of appearances? Shoddy research?

Just for the hell of it, here's an appearance from roughly inbetween the two issues above, Green Lantern v2 #130 from 1980:

the guy with the fin? you mean with the star on his face? If that's what you are asking - that's Evil Star, another foe of GL.

Could we pick all the wrong elements of Lar Gand's costumes from the last fifty years, invert them, animate them, and post them for public viewing?
