Nice sketchcards from Art Balthasar, too, Para-dox. That Tiny Titans stuff just makes me smile - especially Streaky.

If you have Kingdom Come you can try and look for her, but as I mentioned on DA, she was minor. VERY minor.

What are "Artist Sketch Cards"? I've been seeing them online a lot lately.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Legion Worlders, but:

1) I believe the first illustration is of Legion applicant Fruit Boy from the latest Shooter run.

2) Artist Sketch Cards are handy reference cards for pencilers and inkers and sometimes colorists for the specific characters they depict. These help artists keep the look of the character (attributes, costume, handgun calibur, etc.) consistent and true. For a new artist on a Legion story, I would expect it to be a necessity!

Hey, have you guys ever thought of having artists at conventions doing sketches of Legionnaires in "what if" situations?

I don't think I could afford what most artists would demand to draw my particular brand of "What If?" Ever. Also, I'm guessing they wouldn't want to sign their work, which would sort of undermine the whole point of getting the sketch.

Oh, and "icon_uk" at Daily Scans gave me permission to link to some Moy sketches in his/her possession.

Cosmic Boy in that costume. Those who whine about this will not get any ice cream.

I really like Moy's poster-stuff like this but I wasn't a big fan of his art on the Legion.

All the characters looked the same and his storytelling had a very clunky feel...

I think of it as his 'summer costume'. I'm always mildly amused by the complaints about this outfit. Why wouldn't 31st century ganders dress as provocatively as the geese? (Or is that reversed?)

Actually, I always thought this outfit, combined with certain slapping incidents and Night Girl's height (though not apparent under Grell's pencils) hinted at a little something about Rokk...

Eh, I think Night Girl herself is probably also pretty open-minded, given her, uh, affinity with Tasmia.



It's unfortunate that her "owl" logo has been ruined by that stupid mass-purveyor of overpriced lousy beer and crappy buffalo wings. I've drawn Lydda in my sketchpad with a crescent moon logo replacing the owl, but I guess IRL that would set off the anti-Islam crowd. You just can't win, y'know?

I've only been to one proper convention where I got a Greg Laroque Shadow Lass pencil drawing. It was full figure and very nice!

What's the etiquette? Do some artists only do head-and-shoulders?

No, those were quick sketches. They're free but half the time they're not that detailed.

I just love grunge-Garth sketches. I don't even know why. I just do.
