gone Active G Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 710 gone	She died at her home in Ireland of a stroke. Despite how I felt about "The Skies of Pern" and "Red Star Rising", she was a brillient author who forever changed how women were written as characters in Science Fiction and will be sorely missed.

Set Long live the Legion! S Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 9,086	My mom was a huge fan of Anne McCaffrey, Andre Norton, Tanith Lee, Linda Bushyager, Patricia McKilip, etc. so I grew up on their books. To Ride Pegasus was my favorite Anne McCaffrey book, although I also liked The Ship Who Sang and the first six Pern books. Wrapped Around Your Finger now complete in BITS!
