The Right Stuff has been in my top five ever since I first saw it in the theater lo those twenty years ago. It placed the Mercury Seven firmly in the ranks of my personal heroes. I can't say that I'll "miss" Gordo Cooper, having never met the man, but I will say that the world could do worse than find a few more men with his kind of courage.
