I'm off to Thailand next week (yippee!) and wondered if anyone had been there before and had any tips for me?

Stay away from the young boys... I hear they're really cracking down on the sex trades!

My tip is remember to bring us back something decent from this holiday. Some nice Silk Sheets or maybe a quality Buddha figure would be great Keith, thanks. The plastic poo you brought me back from last years San Fran trip was not a high climber on the list of things to feel appreciative about.

Wow! That sounds amazing!
If you meet the King of Siam, just remember no matter how cold and forbidding he seems, all it takes is a perky and forthright English lass to soften him up, with songs such as "Getting to know you" and "Shall we dance?"
Yul Brynner really was amazing.
Have fun!

Here's a tip! Eat the curry Chicken! Thai curry is really good, I enjoy it a lot! Every curry is a little different, but I think Thai might be my favorite !

Have a great trip! You'll have to report back as to how Thai food in Thailand compares to the Thai food we typically have here... I'll bet the variety of cuisine is dazzling there...

Thai tips? Well, for formal affairs there's the black thai. For business wear, I recommend the windsor knot. Cowboys wear bolo thais, but unless you've busted a bronc or poked a cow (cowpoke! COWPOKE! Get your minds out of the gutter) lately, YOU shouldn't. Stay away from novelty or holiday oriented thais--they just make you look silly. If there are any specific questions I can answer, feel free to ask.
The only consistent feature of all of your dissatisfying relationships is you.
Don't judge me!

Trip is going well Scott, thanks....
Have yet to leave Bangkok - probably will the day after tomorrow though, but so far it's been a treat! Friendly, cheap, great food, totally beautiful architecture and 0outrageous TukTuk drivers (I investigate people for serious fraud and embezzlement for a job but these drivers are in a league of their own!!).... it's not Croydon!!
Hows you? Did your move go well?

Move went well, thanks. We still have to move the parents in but will be doing that in a couple of weeks. Caroline and I have just been taking some time to be alone and get accustomed to the new place. The cats are loving it.
Hope you continue to enjoy your trip. Just stay safe and come home in one piece. We do miss you around here.

And cats are normally a good judge of a place so if they like it it must be fine.... I'll pop in from time to time but as I'm plannong to spend a week in a beach hut it may be a while.... 'binger or numf, if you get this could you send PMackies home address to my hotmail account.... cheers, postcards will be written soon!

Bless you all...
Anyway here I am back in Surrey and it's cold and wet, it's great to be home!
My tips for Thailand for you all is " go !" - it's very beautiful, exceptionally friendly, clean, cheap and rich in culture!
Beer is good too there....
