FYI, it seems that a former contestant will be back...as a contestant once again.

I liked Jay all during the contest, though he could be a tad annoying at times. His talent is undeniable, though. I'm kinda glad the show about him is only a one hour documentary.

Oooh, is that Santino a catty bee-yotch or what?!?!? Great designer, though.

Missed it! I watched a LOT of the season 1 marathon even though I'd seen all of those episodes many times.

I'll have to catch this season's premiere when it's re-run, probably tomorrow!

I've seen it twice now, except for the first 15 minutes! Isn't that crazy? I like the fact that this season is just exactly like last season. Why change a formula that works?

I agreed with the judges' choices for which two to cut in the beginning round.

I loved the first assignment, to create a new outfit from the "clothes on their backs." What a great idea! I would have had a hard time picking a winner, but the loser was EASY. That denim scrappy mess by the guy who wimpered and cried like a freak should have been GONE! However, I have to agree with the judges that the lame hanging t shirt by the girl who actually was cut was just lame. Did I mention how lame it was?

SO glad to have this show back, it's such fun and it makes me feel all creative.

One thing that is different is the models being attached to a specific designer for the whole season. (Unless there's some sort of twist.)

I liked the assignment too, and I'm glad Chloe's dress won. I liked Daniel's outfit as well. The losing contestant's shirt WAS horrible, but I remember her skirt as looking rather nice.

It's interesting to be back at the point where where I'm still figuring out who everyone is. I don't mean their design philosophy, I mean their names.

Last time the second week was the cotton/Envy challenge. I wouldn't mind if they did that again, with a different theme/word.

I am very glad the Chole won the second challenge. Santino did have a great outfit but for what Chole had to work with she had the most orginal outfit that looked great. And his comment about the judges not wanting him to win twice...whatever, you got second because that is what you deserved, second.

I love this show!

I can totally see Santino becoming the Wendy Pepper of this season, with one big difference... unlike Wendy Pepper, he actually has the talent to back up the snark.

The chick would make the booty-showing sweater dress had shade of Wendy Pepperness to me too. As a 'character' I'm lovin' that nerdy science fashion girl. She's so odd and different that its fun to watch.

Santino's comment about being in second really was an insult to the girl who won, and IMO, he was rude and wrong. I thought the skirt he made from his jacket looked like a jacket still.

Wendy Pepper exhibited some terrible personality last season, but it made for good tv drama. However, I do think she had some talent, too. Remember, she did win two key challenges and made it to the top three.

As usual, I missed the first 15 minutes, but I saw the bulk of the latest episode...an outfit for Barbie! Heh.

I completely agree with the judges choice for who was OUT and who won. (I'm still not sure about everyone's names...)

My dislike for Andrae grows. How dumb to not use the blond wig on his model. His design was weird anyway.

Santino is a very sore non-winner. Will he have a little fit everytime he doesn't get the prize? It makes me dislike him, which in turn makes me like his work less.

I liked Diana's design, with the groovy hole-y fabric.

Santino is just begging for a breakdown. No doubt that there is lots of talent but it needs to be tempered or maybe humbled a little bit. He did have a great outfit but then again someone just made an outfit that was better. Way better. He needs to keep that ego in check.

Nick's Barbie gown SPACE-RAWKED.

Santino needs to have his very own stool in a corner where he can go and pout.

the chick who freaked out over the barbie hat?!? i think bravo needs to stop supplying all the contestants with crazy juice this season...

oh and is it just me, or when they line up, do they seem to always put that freakishly tall guy next to that short asian girl?

I don't know what the Barbie hat incident is. Must've happened within the first 15 minutes, which I missed.

This reminds me, I used to make Barbies into Legionnaires. They were pretty darn cute, too. I painted the outfits on, though, no sewing for me! I don't think I have any pictures left...maybe somewhere.

I missed this last season but I'm loving this season.

Personally, I just don't see it with Santigo. I appreciate the detail in his work but everything he's done has been so bleah to me.

I'm totally loving Diana Eng, tho. The girl's got a thing for textures that's really fun. I loved the hood on her barbie outfit and the way the bottom of her 'clothes off your back" dress moved. I thought she might be overly gimmicky (especially after the magnets, which I later realized was a good idea in many ways) but I'm realizing that I like her design sense. To me, her stuff has looked like the kind of dress worn at the Oscars that gets praised for being adventurous but not too out-there so that it looks good.

So far my favorite designers are Nick, Diana, Chloe and Daniel F... though Daniel F seems to have only one style that he repeats in different ways. I like that style, though, and a consistent style does make for good marketing.

Also, I'm surprised Nick's clothes-off-your back dress didn't do better. That looked amazing.

A very interesting and rather tense episode!
I was actually quite unimpressed by the lingerie designs done by the teams. The winner had very basic, though quite sexy ideas. Diana's were pretty good, too.

Santino's designs didn't look like lingerie, they looked like rock star outfits. Santino's attitude is terrible. I think it's bad for the designers to give back talk to the judges. He said Nina's name with such disgust...I hope he eats some humble pie. I doubt it, though.

Daniel's designs were pretty lame, though I'm not sure if he deserved to be cut. I think Santino really lost this challenge, but I think they must want to keep him around for dramatic tv. That's my impression.

I think had Santino been lower on the totem pole thus far this season, the situation would have been reversed. However, up to this point, he has won 1 and been runner-up twice, so I think they felt they had to get rid of Daniel Franco. But it was sad! The way he left was truly honorable and noble, I thought.

At any rate, Santino is now fair game and could be eliminated on any episode forthcoming, I think.

I didn't care for any of the lingerie designs.

Guadalupe pitched Superheroes. Wonder what that would have looked like?

I'm much more interested in the designs than the personalities/"characters", but I will say that I'm curious about Diana and what she might produce.
