Me, too! (I think.)

Well, much better win percentage this week. From 50% to 80%.

My two loses were Auburn and Boston College.

I've done better but I'll happily take it.

Think I got that right anyway. Now we wait for Vee's official results.

Here are the results for Week 2. Congrats to Rick for getting 8 of 10 correct in what I thought was a particularly tough group of games to pick.

Wow. I didn't do to bad. And some of it was pure guesswork.

Lance, the leg is coming along okay. PT's a real pain, I do not recommend ever doing anything to yourself to require it. But, the medieval torture device is history until I get cleared to return to work. I'll probably need it for a while in the woods until the leg is stronger. Feels real weird to take a "normal" step and realize that I'm favoring the "good" leg of the two.

All the tendons haven't stretched out to the point they need to be, and it feels like a wide "pull" inside the knee. Started very small lunges this last week and lemme tell ya, oof.

I'm over 500, so I'm happy so far with my picks. I was amazed that UofM won, that was the best last few minutes of a game I have seen in years. And by best, I mean exciting as hell, not necessarily well played.

Vee, the Auburn/Clemson game is at Clemson, not Auburn. That info might change people's picks. Not sure if any of the others are wrong.

Thanks Lardy. It's fixed and I double checked the others. They were all correct. If anyone that posted their choices already wants to make a change in the Auburn/Clemson outcome based on venue change please go ahead and od so before Saturday.

Week 3
Pitt v Iowa (at Iowa) ~ Tough pick. I see the the Panthers and Hawkeyes fairly evenly matched. Have to give Iowa the edge for home field. Vee's pick ~ Iowa

Auburn v Clemson (at Clemson) ~ Coming off a come from behind win against Miss State last week, Auburn faces a tough Clemson team on Saturday in South Carolina. Auburn is not as good as last year and Clemson is better than last year so this Tiger Brawl should be a good one. Vee's pick ~ Clemson

West Virginia v Maryland (at Maryland) ~ WVU comes into this game 2-0 with easy wins against Marshall and Norfolk State. They are likely the team to beat in the Big East this year and have a lot of weapons. The Terps on the other hand struggled to beat a Miami team missing 8 starters and were largely ineffective in the red zone last Saturday. They do however have a great QB and some good RBs and WRs. The experts all have this listed as a toss up and I have to agree. Vee's pick ~ West Virginia in a nail biter

Tennessee v Florida (at Florida) Both these teams have played the typical cream puff schedule their first two games so it's hard to judge how well they'll do against decent competition. With the game in the Swamp, most experts believe the Gators will win by 9+ points but Florida QB Brantley has yet to convince me that he is more than just mediocre. Vee's pick ~ Going out on a limb and calling it for Tennessee.

Michigan State v Notre Dame (at Notre Dame) ~ Dantonio has built a pretty good team out of the Spartans and they come into the game ranked 15th in the polls. However, this game always comes down to one or two 4th quarter plays and last minute heroics. After two back to back and very painful losses, the Irish are looking for redemption and respect. Vee's pick ~ Notre dame pulls out a last minute win and stuns the Spartans.

Washington v Nebraska (at Nebraska) ~ Nebraska has yet to be tested this year, having faced Chattanooga and Fresno State. Fresno game them a scare for more than half the game last week before the Huskers pulled away. However, the Huskies haven't faced a real threat either so far this year and don't have the talent to hold off this Nebraska team. Vee's pick ~ Nebraska.

UCF v FIU (at Florida International) ~ UCF has been a giant killer the last few years surprising a number of big name teams. No one had heard about FIU until they beat Louisville last week, dominating much of the game. Both teams are loaded with Florida talent and many players know each other very well from High School. UCF better not be looking past FIU to their game against BYU next week because the Panthers have the talent, desire and most of all the coaching to beat the Knights fair and square. Vee's pick ~ FIU in the upset of the week.

Arizona State v Illinois (at Illinois) ~ What can I say, Arizona State impressed the hell out of me in their amazing win against Missouri last week. Even though they are away this week, I still think they have what it takes to succeed. Vee's pick ~ Arizona State

Ohio State v Miami (at Miami, FL) ~ The IneligiBowl. Miami gets 5 starters back and Ohio State gets three. Both teams still have some key players sitting on the sideline for this game. The Buckeyes are 2-0 but struggled mightily against Toledo last week. Miami came up just short against conference rival Maryland. Ohio State's new QB is a big drop off from the skill of Terrell Pryor. Miami's defense should be ready to rumble and should keep him scrambling all day. Vee's pick ~ Miami

Oklahoma v Florida State (at Florida State) ~ Two Top 5 teams square off in this one. Whoever wins should be in good shape to make a run for the National Championship. Oklahoma comes into the game with a huge distraction ... the rumors of their impending switch to the Pac 12 which may well overshadow the game. Vee's pick ~ Florida State.

UGH. I never, ever, pick against Michigan State since I know how good they are. But Vee has forced me to.

I dunno why I'm picking Clemson after they barely beat Wofford(!) last week. But I know how close we came to being a blemish on their eventual perfect record last year with Cam Newton on their side. Let's hope Auburn sucks tomorrow!

And, Cobie, I don't think I've EVER picked Notre Dame in Vee's game and won! After being fooled yet again on Week One this year, I vow NEVER to pick them again!!!
