so last night i went to bed early-10ish (first day in a week i didn't have to work that late) and woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep for a while so in an attempt to bore my self to the point where i wanted to sleep..i googled/binged myself..other then the vanity aspect of this, some times i find very nice reviews and postings i can't read and have to google translate,

what bothers me most about this ..is that first one called me a HE....and i cant correct that unless i have to sign up for that web site

Stolen art bothers the hell out of me. Is there an email address you're able to use to contact him? Or out him to whatever website he's posting to?

I can't think of how many times I found plagiarism on DA. Not of my work, mind you, still...

i have a friend who is a group deals with art theft on the web (not just on da), she is currently handling the problem as i type. i trust her to take care of this ive seen her spend hours of her day for random strangers. her tolerance for when some one she knows/loves art work is taken.i can't describe the commitment/hilarity to watch as she owns . she is going to kick some ass for me

Do you consider it stealing your art if someone posts it somewhere else, other than where you put it?

Do you not want people to download the images you create?

I whole heartedly agree that claiming your art as their own is stealing and I totally oppose anything like that.
But, if moving images around is wrong, than I need to know that and I'll stop.

I download a lot of images and in the past, since I just kept them for myself, I was pretty sloppy with names sometimes.

I use images here, sometimes without credits because it's so hard to find valid credits, say on photobucket where you see the same image over and over again, each time with a different 'by line'.

But I never claim them as my own work.
And photos are manipulated here all of the time.
If the photographer's name is available, and the models, I use it but frequently one or both isn't available.

I've gotten more aware of things like that since using the motivational poster resource and tinypics.

I've asked permission from the artists here to use their works.
Do I need to go to photobucket and ask to use their photos?
I've seen so many things repeatedly downloaded there that I thought it was totally expected and encouraged.

I certainly have moved say, Gina's Legion works here and no one said that I shouldn't, and I asked.

no. i dont see it as stealing if you like an image and want to share it, like i said in the first post i like seeing my art elsewhere as a ghost artist i dont get credit at work so its nice for me to see that people like my stuff, so long as they dont clam it i encourage people to pimp me out. you never know who will see something you do and want to to hire you.

a few times i have found my art in group postings where they take a lot of the different artists they like and post pictures they never claim they do the art,and they usually say i found these and i like don't know who did them but they are cool. i think that is fine

what bothers me here is this person took an image i did i worked hard on that entry I WANTED TO WIN..and thank god i did cause i would have been levels of pissed if i hadn't. this person changed it (the vague shadows of the trees is in there for a reason-if you've seen the shorts you know why) and while the touch my awesome button is sort of a penis joke- its only sort of one. so to change that kinda bugs me....and they called me a guy. and while i do try not to my gender be an issue while im on the web. i hate it when i am called a boy

if this was a motivational poster i dont think i would have cared that much cause it would still have been my image with what ever they wanted to say
