Also found out, just by perusing the covers, that we are also going to be expecting in April the second TPB for v5.

Hmm... what's going on with Micro Lad and Shadow Lass?

Who is that next to Brin?

Do you mean Jeckie or Star Boy Scooter? (At least, I think its them)

Is that Jeckie? With mousey brown hair? The hair just doesn't look like her even if the costume does.

There's a lot of coloring weirdness all over, but I think that's pretty clearly Jeckie.

Wow! Another beautiful Supergirl by Barry.

But....


I really hope this doesn't mean that we are going to be seeing everything (including the covers) revolve around Kara for more than a couple of issues. She's okay, and I'm glad we have her back in the Legion but she ISN'T the Legion, just a small part of it.

And I do think that's Jeckie next to Brin. Whoever did the coloring for this version of the cover screwed up for sure.

I want to know what Cham & Jo are doing together and what they're up to? I can't picture them hanging out together so it seems out of place, but it does look like they are planning something naughty, doesn't it?

And... who is that besides Brainy? Could it be Dr. Gym'll? Or maybe Computo? Or maybe an Athramite?

What an amazing cover. I love the composition and the great depth. And the expressions on Shadow Lass & Micro Lad are SO intriguing.

So what are they plotting??? hhhmmmmmm???

And as far as Supergirl. Bring her front & center! Everyone gets a chance in the spotlight.

Why am I reminded of Joan of Arc on the stake?

Something else else about the way that Supergirl's shadow is positioned where Cham's leg would be behind the pillar and the way he blends into Supergirl makes me think that Cham is going to be playing the Legion's Supergirl. He has played that "impersonate the hero" game before, this is just on a larger scale. Why he would do it is something else entirely.

It's SO interesting how things change.

Where once, DC couldn't wait to destroy Supergirl and eradicate her legacy in the DCU entirely, now they can't seem to stop rubbing everyone's face in her bellybutton all over the DCU.

What have we learned from all this, DC?

will they really break the tradition of the Supergirl/Brainiac 5 romance???? for Ultra Dude? NOOOOOO. it's such a shallow choice. the alien green guy is a more unconventional and color-blind choice, and actually quite courageous of DC and Kara back in the day. their in-house daughter dating a non-caucasian...When did they first ignite sparks? late fifties or early sixties? of course she also dated the mer-boy, and her super horse(!!!). and in her own book, it seemed every other issue was a plot based on a new boyfriend.

back off shady, i wanted Light Lass to date Micro Lad.
if all the traditional couplings are up for grabs, i would be interested in seeing the Saturn Girl/Lightning Lad one messed with as well. in the past we've seen Cosmic Boy, Timber Wolf, and Ultra Boy catch Imra's eye. maybe it's time for someone to go after Garth.

Wow. While I loved Supergirl in the last cover...this one her had looks kind funny. With that said last cover was the best I've seen the new Supergirl look.

But did you see Cham??? He's not cute skinny alien any more! He has expression! He has muscles! He has antennae!!! Ultra Boy and Micro Lad (two other faves) look good as well. And sadly I love the background buildings. Part of Barry's future I like so much.

Really?? Trying not to be argumentative, but I really couldn't disagree more. I feel that Barry is taking Supergirl where she needs to be, which is much more realistic looking that the current DC Universe Supergirl. This Supergirl looks like she belongs in the Legion, not at a rehab center for a eating disorder

Speaking of "small" - Have you seen the solicit for the cover to Supergirl # &??



Let's just say that upon close examination, I can assure you that Adam Hughes did not do that cover.

I really look forward to seeing Barry's Pencils & Inks on the cover. Not to mention the printed version on the higer quality stock.

Ultra Boy, I meant Barry's version on cover #16 is the best SG I've seen recently. But #17 looks just OK. And yes Ian's SG sure looks like Paris Hilton. Are we sure her and Power Girl are the same person. I see a HUGE difference. lol.

Kara looks lovely, wistful and a bit remote - like the new girl in town who hasn't found her place yet. If Ultra Boy makes the mistake of hitting on her, I think he'd soon find his body parts rearranged. Jo's definitely not her type - not if she's carrying a torch for the likes of Nightwing - though he might have found the perfect sparring partner.

And thank you, Barry, for givng her skirt a bit more coverage. This is the most appealing rendition of Supergirl I've seen since her debut. I do hope Cos is nicer to her than he was to Superboy.

This is a Supergirl I want to read and see more of.

love the cover and i'd love to see JO hit on KARA and she gives him what for !!

but the looks from both Cham and Jo are pretty interesting .......
