As usual, I'm behind on the digital recorder, but I've been watching this BBC series all summer and I'm approaching the season finale. Is anyone else watching it? It's a mix of Buffy, teen soaper, and the Omen. I'm curious how successful it was in the UK.

Scott and I are addicted to this show. Personally, I think Thelma is yummy!!! She could be my lesbian ghost any ol' time!!! In fact, I like Thelma much more then then the 'Buffy-esque' doomed main character. Oh well, I also liked Willow better then Buffy I really like Ella as well. Wish she and Thelma would hook up.... I wish the series had more to offer then two short seasons. I cannot wait to view season two, even if it is the last of it. I keep waiting for a surprise about the Headmaster. I just know there is a story there! I just know he is immortal or something and will help save the day and set all things right.

Is it just me or did Thelma lose a lot of weight as a ghost? She started off as a bit of an ugly duckling, but then when she got her new clothes (ewwww) suddenly she's wicked hot...
I like the headmaster too. So far, he's been just the right mix of concerned and clueless, just like all the rest of us in education.
Just two seasons? Dammit.
And who DIDN'T like Willow better than Buffy? The almost normal are so much more interesting than the superheroic.

LOL ! Yes, the way Thelma got her new outfit was creepy. But even more puzzeling was, 'wait a minute. Do they usually put bodies into morgue drawers fully dressed in England?' No! Really Thelma ought to have looked at the deceased girl to size her up, and then picked up her carefully folded stack of clothes and accessories from a shelf or something... Dont'cha think?
I thought she was hot in the first place, but then I think that curvy women are more attractive and usually more interesting then bone thin ones. However, when she dressed in the more figure revealing animal print camisole top and tight fitting jeans, she did transform. Her former black dress was 'puffy' and layered and had feathers and lace and flowers and hid her cute figure.
Anyway, they also seem to have cast the female students in Hex with a lot more depth then the males. It's almost as if the only mature males in the show must be the ones over 35. All of the male students seem more boys then men to me.
I was wishing for more history and for it to fall into more of an understandable time-line, about the house and the grounds and such. Seems to jump from mid-1800's back to 1690, then to the 1930's and then to the present. But, that said, I am still hooked.

I've read the article on Wikipedia on this show and it sounds interesting. It's to bad it's not on Scifi so I could actually watch it.

I'm with you 100% on the curvy girls, it just seemed so sudden. I'll check back in soon, I still have the last two shows to watch (I'm saving them...what a dork!).

Okay, I finally found the time to go through the last two shows--
I had a hard time believing that Thelma, no matter HOW in love she was, could turn that doohickey over to Azazeal. And look what happened!
I KNEW that vicar was up to something....And some seriously risque scenes with Roxanne.
A lot of "shit"s in that season finale...Way to go, Beeb!
The finale was a bit anticlimactic--who the heck is the main character on this show, anyway? Is it Ella? Thelma? I was thinking that since the amulet could manipulate space and time or whatever, that someone might use it to bring Cassie back, but obviously not. Nothing resolved, and Malachi is still out there somewhere. The BBC America website says season 2 isn't on until summer 2007!
