So there's this Star Wars party coming up on Saturday & I need some costume ideas. So any artistically inclined friends want to try to design something I could put together within the next few days? Preferably something like a alien, bountyhunter, Jedi, or Sith since I likely already have elements to work with there. I welcome any suggestions but I'd like to have a fairly unique look rather than be a character everyone would know.

I once saw a guy at a con dressed in Padme's royal outfit with added paunch and a cigar.

There's always cross-pollinating ideas as well, like a Zombie Jedi or somesuch.

Quis, that idea will give me nightmares for years.

Yeah, I could do that but I think those kind of combo costumes might be too prevalent with people who wait to the last minute. I may not have a great deal of time to get this all done but when people see me I want them to be impressed with how well I executed whatever idea I go with.

There should be a moratorium declared. Any person, male or female, in a Leia costume is legally in season, break out the 30.06's and start shootin.

Anthropomorphized R2-D2? (humanoid like Threepio, but in R2's colors)

A Zabrak but dressed in rebel/alliance colors, or diplomat's robes, and acting like some sort of senator, despite his appearance.

Just get really drunk and stoned and go as pre rehab Carrie Fisher.

There's no way I'm gonna crossdress, I never have found any humor in it.

A Zabrak, eh? That's an interesting idea. Another friend of mine suggested I should be a Yuuzhan Vong but I don't think I have enough leather to make that work.

Do a Six Degrees of Star Wars thing and show up as a non-Star Wars character played by one of the actors, like Indiana Jones or the cartoon Joker!

If you go as Lando, naturally you have to drink malt liquor all night!

FYI I ended up going as a Sith of my own creation. I've got 2 pics of it up on my Facebook. Sadly those were the only ones I got that night and they didn't come out very well. I think I'll just end up putting it back on at some point and having to do my own photo-shoot.
