The whole DC universe to play with, and they throw in a Kamandi episode? After a great start, the last couple of eps have been not as smile-inducing.

The only consistent feature of all of your dissatisfying relationships is you.

Don't judge me!

Good observation AfoB. I don't have any desire to see Superman dominate any team ups but it would be great to see characters from current series appear. I mean, who wouldn't want to see Bruce put Dox in his place? If sci-fi is their interest why not use Captain Comet and the Strange Adventures crew? I could envision Bats and one of the many Kryptonians or (gasp!) Batman teaming up with Mon-El. Exploring the on again/off again relationship between Bruce and Diana would make for a fun episode. etc. etc. ad infinitum.

Shouldn't the various arms of the vast Time/Warner network strive to support each other?

Okay, anyone who has seen "Mayhem of the Music Meister", I demand that they do a sequel episode with the Legion.

Really? Thanx for pointing that out.

But still, wouldn't a sequel with teh Legion singing be so damn cool?

Any of you seen the one with Plastic Man along with Woozy Winks and Baby Plas? What is Plas's wife's name?

Wasn't there a Baby Plas in a 1980s Plastic Man cartoon series and a Hawaiian named Hula-Hula?

was surprised to see Hawk and Dove (the original ones) in the Brave and the Bold.....and GPA too. GPA made the first appearance in "Escape" the mini-series spotlighting Nemesis. Golly!

OMAC aka Buddy Blank. heh.

and I wonder why the advertisting is misleading...since there is no Libra in the episode, only Equinox.

the Origin of Shrapnel, hmmm interesting.

I would give this episode "When OMAC attacks!" a grade of B-.

Oh my God tonight's episode! Aquaman's Outrageous Adventure! He goes on a family vacation to the surface world with his wife Mera and Arthur Jr. (who just happens to be wearing the blue wave costume) But Aquaman can't stop fighting crime, and every time he teams up with a different hero it has like a "Superfriends" title card.

Who do we see? Planet Master, Hal Jordan, and Sportsmaster is on a family vacation as well! With Tigress and their young daughter Tigress who looks just as bored as Arthur Jr.

Saw Metal Men yesterday - cool....and Chemo!! Nice displays of each Metal Men powers individually and teamwork. (too bad Copper is not a part of the MM). Milton Magnus? not Will Magnus? thats one setback ....the origin - completely different from what I remember. Hmmm. Tina flirting Batman intead of Will. heh. Would like to see Living Gas Gang again both in comics and books. they are perfect opposites of MM.

Aquaman got starro'ed at the beginning...hmmm...Challengers of the Unknown and now Aquaman.

Was the "Gas Gang" something that was created for the tv show? If so, it's one of those things that seems so obvious that it's amazing it hadn't been thought of before as enemies of the Metal Men.

I'm really liking the Starro buildup. I imagine this is leading to the season finale with a *ton* of heroic guest stars - can't wait! (I also have to wonder if there's a JLA right now since this show has established that there was one in the past)

Wasn't the Faceless Hunter a member of the Forgotten Villians.

I tried to rip their soul out.I tried to make them forget Superman.
But they won't.

yep! also I believe that he appeared in the World of Krypton recently when Superman visited Jemm the prince of Saturn. I may be recalling wrong, however because I was skimming the book too fast. heh.

Of note for today's episode, an accident at a nuclear facility, perpetrated by Doctor Double X, fuses genius student Jason Rusch and dimwitted coach Ronnie Raymond together, creating Firestorm. It also splits Batman into three.

I always liked Doctor Double X. I wish he'd come back in the comics. Or maybe not, since James Robinson would probably just kill him off.

I wish they'd hurry up and release a season set of this show too. I'm dying to watch it but I refuse to buy any of those smaller 4-episode DVDs.

The oldest comic I've got was Double X's first appearance.

So, basically, the atomic accident fuses Jason and Ronnie together. Jason is the dominant one, and Ronnie inside Jason's mind, as he attempted to shield Jason when the accident occurred. But they can't split.

The accident splits Batman into three, representing the broader aspects of his personality. There's Smart Batman, who represents logic and thinking. There's Brute Batman, a.k.a. everything wrong with Frank Miller. And then there's Lax Batman, a.k.a. Surfer Dude Batman.

Double X is actually voiced by Ron Perlman, I believe.

And we get a cameo of Simon the Pieman from the old Batman cartoons!

The guy dressed as a chef is Simon the Pieman, who was from the 1960s Batman cartoons.
