Either way - satire or straight commentary - it makes me think of this article from a marketing journal on how to sell stuff to the homeless - complete with pictures of homeless people, so the business class would know what they looked like... that was back in 1994, so I expect things have progressed (or regressed) considerably since then. We're certainly pouring more people into the underclass each year. Holy Cats of Egypt!
