Bah I'm sending Nova Girl to do all my picks, and I wish I could send her to buy my point spread picks in the lottery here.
I have to say, What the heck happened in Cleveland? I swear 10 Legion Worlders and one alt-id playing safety could have tackled better.

The Matchups (pick a winner each game)
*Indianapolis (-6) at Houston *San Diego (-4.5) at Green Bay Minnesota at Kansas City *Detroit at Philadelphia (-6) Miami at N.Y. Jets St. Louis at Tampa Bay Jacksonville at Denver Cincinnati at Seattle Cleveland at Oakland *Carolina (-4) at Atlanta *N.Y. Giants at Washington (-4) Dallas at Chicago *Tennessee At New Orleans (-4.5)
Upset Special (pick one only)
(Note: upset specials now can be won by the underdog if your pick at least beats the spread! Two points now, for beating the spread, Three if the dog actually wins!)
Buffalo over New England (-16.5) San Francisco over Pittsburgh (-9) Arizona over Baltimore (-8)
Tie Breaker (total points scored in game)
Cincinnati and Seattle
*All these games (with asterisks next to them) are candidates for the new category: The Lead Pipe Lock! Whichever game you choose out of these will be worth more points than all the regular picks. Choose the favorite, and that favorite must cover the spread! Choose the dog, and the dog can either win or beat the spread!
Note: all spreads culled from current day's morning paper. If lines change afterward, the ones posted here are the ones that count
If you're right, you will be awarded 4 points! If you're wrong, you will be deducted 4 points from your total!
To choose your Lead Pipe lock, simply place (LP) in parentheses next to the appropriate line.
If any of this is unclear, or if any of this seems too off-the-wall let me know, and I'll address it. Everyone has until 1 p.m. (EST)gametime Sunday to pick!

In case this was unclear, only one asterisked team can be chosen for the Lead Pipe Lock--all other asterisked teams will be scored the normal way and point spreads won't be taken into account.

Still need picks from thor, Drake, Cali and Nova (and from any other interested parties) before the 1 p.m. EST Sunday deadline! I know I'm allowing everyone to drop their lowest score, but you don't want to burn it this early because ya forgot!

Okay, I think I suck at this. I know nothing. I just pick the teams I like or don't pick the ones I dislike, mostly...

Hope everyone realizes that LPs CAN be duplicated! So don't think you gotta pick one that hasn't been picked yet--that only applies to the points tie-breaker!

Man, I go for a lead pipe lock and the Colts barely, just barely, cover the spread! I'm pretty souped up about that!

Oh, and looks like Cobie did pretty well this week and some others got shang-hied by the (LP). Since this is for bragging rights, allow me to revert to my college self and say

Yup. I think you and me were the only two where they covered the spread. So lets point at everyone else and make faces.

Hahaha. I'm so lucky! Jeez. I was really nervous about picking a LP because the point distribution is so harsh...
So lucky.

You two seem to have forgotten my LP hasn't played yet. And Titans will more than cover the spread against the Saints tonight.

Yeesh, and it looked liked the 'Skins had mine wrapped up until they decided to sit out the last half!
