Well..I went to the show to see Hitchhiker and it was sold out. So I decided to go see Ice Cube give his shot at the XXX title.
I enjoyed the show. Had some great explosions, cool gadgets and some interesting stunts. It was a no brainer as the story goes but it was good none the less.
On a side note.. I think the XXX movies will continue as the agents can be replaced. They did expalin what happened to Van D's character.

Since i wont see it, care to tell us what happened to him? You can add a spoiler space if you need to.

Since you asked.... The agency that runs the XXX agents is attacked. After that the NSA is investigating they hear that at the time of the attack, agents in the field were killed. The mention Van D character and they say he is dead.
Later in the movie they ask Samuel Jackson what happened to the last XXX and he tells them he was killed. So I guess he is dead.
By the way Sam Jacksons character is great.

In another example of the Airplane/Flying High syndrome, this movie had it's title changed for Aussie audiences. In the States, it's called XXX: State of the Union yeah? Here it's called XXX: The Next Level, which I think a perfectly bland and craptacular title.

I understand the Airplane thing (we call them aeroplanes, not airplanes), but I think Aussie audiences can get the gist of 'State of the Union' from the amount of American TV that's on Aussie TV. Was the title changed for the British release?

Yes. I'm pretty sure it was called 'The Next Level' here too. I guess if you're aiming a film at the Playstation generation why not go all the way?
