OK..did anyone see the premiere episode tonight? I caught most of it and thought it was ok. Funniest thing was when the mom was walking by the fish tank and was on the phone and goes " Where is all the fish". Funny thing she did not stop she kept talking on the phone. Walked on by the tank. Guess the fish were not that important.
Looking for Earth Prime.

I hope it's better than Threshold. I caught the premier of that one and wasn't too impressed. I'll watch Surface though.

I agree Semi. I watched Threshold because Brent Spiner was in it and I thought he was kinda funny. Was not impressed with the other cast members except the dwarf.
Looking for Earth Prime.

Well, Stargazer, I just watched Surface - and I liked it! I'll definitely be tuning in next week. At least there's a mystery. Can't say the same about Threshold (Body Snatchers redux). What do those critics know anyway?

Well I cast the first dissenting stone. Didn't care for Surface. I thought Threshold was the much better sci-fi show. So far out of the new sci-fi dramas, the only one I'll probably stick with is Threshold.

Checked it out, though it was ok but not a must see for me. However my roommate really enjoyed it. I guess I'll check out the next few episodes to see when the show goes.

I need to see if they are going to repeat as Caroline missed it and I didn't bother recording it. Could be she'd like it. For me, it just left me cold, like Bones did.

It is repeating later this week here in Canada, so hopefully for you it will repeat there too..... As for Bones; I agree, that show is a definite miss. I didn't even watch the full episode.

Thanks Deddy. I just looked it up in the online TiVo scheduling and apparently Sci-Fi is rebroadcasting the show tonight, Friday and Sunday. I've scheduled it for Friday afternoon so Caroline can watch it this coming weekend.

I thought Surface was terrible. My mind kept wandering the whole hour. It's a shame, because Lake Bell is a good actress.
I missed Threshold, I'll give the next episode a try.

I'm on the fence about both shows. I'll watch them again, but niether have hooked me yet. I like sea mysteries, but there's something still missing on Surface.

Sniff, I guess its just you and me, Stargazer. Nobody else liked this. Well, I'll go on record as stating unequivocally that Surface is the best damn seamonster show on tv this season. So there!

What about the seamonster they are introducing on Lost this year? You even going to give him a try?

Sea Monster? Will it get a name - like Sigmund? Please don't let it be another 'jump-the-shark' tactic...

I saw it. It was ok. Hopefully it gets better. It reminded me of Marvel's Plodex stuff. Alien race lands in the ocean and adapt to that enviroment. As for the kid...I would be calling 911 by now if that thing was loose in my house.

I tried watching this. About halfway through I found myself reading the paper. Totally didn't hold my interest.

Okay, now I've watched all three- Threshold, Surface and Invasion and the only one I stayed awake during was Surface.

I watched the second episode of Threshold last night. Now I wish I had seen the first. What could I have been thinking last week? This show is great trashy fun, everything the other new sci-fi/horror shows are not.

I liked the second episode of Threshold much more than the first. I'm getting curious about those dreams.

Okay, I've seen the second episode of Surface and I'm hooked. There's something quite endearing about Nimrod and that last scene was a real jaw-dropper. That new government agent guy is pretty nice eye candy, too. (Even if he doesn't have hair.) I hope the seperate storylines get connected soon, though. Tonight's epoisode was a start on that, at least, but I think it'll get annoying if they take too long to bring things together.

Caroline enjoyed Surface so we'll keep trying it. Except we'll be watching the Sci-Fi rebroadcast for two reasons. It is on at a better time and Sci-Fi has a much better picture than NBC.

I think we're going to start seeing super-powered humans soon in this series.
