I mentioned this on the DC board, but one of the previews I saw before Freddy VS Jason started was for a show that comes out September 19th called UNDERWORLD. Its about a centuries old feud between Vampires and Werewolves and stars Kate Beckinsale (whom I've never seen in a film before) and Scott Speedman who played Ben on the TV show Felicity. I don't recognize any of the other actors. Check out the amazing web-site at www.entertheunderworld.com The movie looks cool. The fighting and action look a lot like the Matrix.

Kate Beckinsale was in "Pearl Harbor", i've not seen the trailer for this film, yet !!
but the preview poster with Kate standing on a roof top looks alot like the adverts for "Birds of Prey" [ this featured Huntress, standing on a roof top, the visual is very much the same !! ]

Hey Matthew, I thought the same thing. She reminded me very much of Huntress. The show looks like a cross between Blade and Matrix. I'm very excited about it.
I don't do war movies so I missed Pearl Harbor. She looks pretty kick ass though.

The preview's cool, the website's cool and informative. The basic premise is very cool (and reminds me of the backstory for that Image title "Wetworks" -- where Vampires and Werewolves are ancient rival clans). Unless I hear horrible things about it, I'll probably go out and see it.
Oh yeah, the poster though is less than compelling. It should be less subtle about the "vampires vs. werewolves" premise because right now it just looks like a Matrix wanabe.

At San Diego I picked up a faux-newspaper containing "details" about a vampire-werewolf run-in that was a promo for the film.
IIRC, Beckinsale is also in the upcoming Van Helsing, another vampire film.

i saw "FREDDY vs JASON" today !!!
i thought it was great, a good FUN film !!! i liked they way they joined together the two histories of the rival characters, and the premise for FREDDY recruting JASON to do his killing first !!! and the cameo from his MOTHER and the scenes at CRYSTAL LAKE were cool !!!
i even thought Kelly Rowland was pretty good !!!
