Direct from their website: On Saturday, May 6 (and maybe into May 7, if we wake up late), in conjunction with the comic industry’s Free Comic Book Day, we're offering you any in-stock issue of BACK ISSUE, ALTER EGO, DRAW!, or WRITE NOW!, free of charge! Just select one issue from the pull-down list that'll appear here on May 6, add it to your shopping cart, then log into our web store and checkout (you don't have to enter any credit card or payment information; just your shipping info). The magazine you selected will be mailed to you at no cost the following week! What could be easier than that?
So, why are we giving stuff away? Simple; the goal is to expose new readers to our amazing line of magazines, so they’ll in turn start ordering them at their local comics shop, or subscribe. We also want to reward our current loyal readers, by letting them try a magazine they may not already be familiar with, or just fill a hole in their run of back issues. But while you're here, please take a minute to browse around and learn about other new items we have coming up, including our newest magazine launch, ROUGH STUFF!
The Rules:
Limit one free issue per person, please! If more than one copy is ordered for a given address, then NO SOUP FOR YOU! (Or magazines, either.)
Only orders placed at this website will be honored. No phone or e-mail orders, please! (We're relying on the automation of our site to efficiently process all these freakin' orders!)
This offer only applies to in-stock issues of BACK ISSUE, ALTER EGO, DRAW!, or WRITE NOW! (Copies of The Jack Kirby Collector, Comic Book Artist, Comicology, Crazy Hip Groovy Go-Go Whateveritis or any of our other outstanding products are not eligible, so don't even ask!)
In the unlikely event the issue you requested sells out, we'll substitute whatever we darn well feel like (although we'll try to make it a similar item).
If our website goes up in flames due to overwhelming response, you're just outta luck, buddy. (But knowing us, we'd probably extend the offer a couple of extra days...)
No exchanges allowed; what you choose is what you get! (Refunds are accepted, however; just send us back the issue, and we'll gladly refund what you paid for it.)
If you came here looking for a free copy of Wizard Magazine, boy, are you in the wrong place!
Tell your friends about Free Magazine Day, and enjoy your free mag! (And consider subscribing or ordering our mags from your local comics shop!)
So if people haven't already bought the Legion issue of Back Issue! (#14), now's your chance to get it for free! And if you have, you can always pick up something else!

Well, I bought your two recent books, Glen (and contributed art to one of them), so I'll see it as a nice dividend for my participation ... That's a great way for them to "virtually" participate in Free Comic Book Day. Kudos to them!

Very cool and thanks for letting us know Glen. I've ordered the Legion books either directly from you or from DCMB with my regular orders and have enjoyed them all. Since I have BI #14 I may take the opportunity to try Alter Ego.

Hope that people took advantage of this great opportunity. There was a good interview with Paul Levitz in the latest issue of Write Now! which any Legion fan might find interesting. All people had to do was fill out an online form, and how hard is that? Depending on your timezone, it might not be too late...

I know the TwoMorrows site has been having issues handling the traffic generated by this. Apparently they've extended this to tomorrow to make sure everybody who wants to participate gets to. The blurb from the top of their frontpage: "Free Magazine Day has overwhelmed our server, so we're extending the offer through Sunday, 7 May. We appreciate your patience and support!"
"Anytime a good book like this is cancelled, I hope another Teen Titan is murdered." --Cobalt
"Anytime an awesome book like S6 is cancelled, I hope EVERY Titan is murdered." --Me

I tried it this morning, as I was posting above. I wasn't able to complete my order until 12:15, over an hour after I started. But it was worth the wait to get a free copy. I picked up Alter Ego #14 which, I think, had another interview with Levitz. Didn't know about the Write Now! issue.

I haven't yet received the free issue from TwoMorrows, here in L.A., and it's been nearly four weeks. Have others here received theirs?

Grey, I just got mine in the mail yesterday. So I'd give it another day or two.
