Greybird will be thrilled! Apparently Lucas has announced that he will be releasing each of the original trilogy in a two disc set--one with the original film, one with the redone version that was released more recently. Now Grey can watch Greedo meet his demise in the proper manner--Han shoots first!
The only consistent feature of all of your dissatisfying relationships is you.
Don't judge me!

It's good news for sci-fi fans, and especially the Star Wars fans. Hmm, I wonder how many 'versions' of the movies have been released so far?

So in two years when the High Definition or Blue Ray DVD boxed set with all six movies (available at 9 times the resolution, so high that GL had to redo the special effects yet again) comes out who's getting them for the 7th time.

Yep, I'm delighted. I refused to buy the first DVD release, which would have been directly endorsing Lucas's strident and pointless fiddling. So I'll only have to shell out once for the Real Originals, and can then finally sell off my VHS tapes.
(I did manage to get the fourth disc of the first DVD release, with its entirely worthwhile documentary and bonus material. Hollywood Video sold it off as a used disc, and Lucasfilm had provided a stand-alone wraparound cover for its case, to be used for video-store rentals.)
