If so, yippee; I'm craving new material. Too bad I don't get the Sci-Fi Channel, though, since I'm living in Canada. But if your answer is in the affirmative, I have something to look forward to down the road. As I recall, Stand Alone Complex kind of ended on a cliff-hanger, with Unit 9 being forced to dispurse and go underground. I love Ghost in the Shell 2, too, by the way, even if a lot of other people didn't. If the meek shall inherit inherit the Earth, then I at least want Baffin Island - and a property manager to work for me who is made of sterner stuff than I.

There was a second season called 2nd GIG (now on DVD) that brought the team back together for an arc called The Individual Eleven. This is a new story, taking place two years after Motoko resigned from Section 9 at the end of GITS: SOC 2nd GIG. I take pride in my mental instability. Go! Figure
