One game to go! Pretty good series so far, if you're a Sox fan. Close exciting games though. Go SOX!

OK, so this has always puzzled me but how can it be the *World* series, when only US teams play in it? Isn't it a bit of a false statement?

Gay-lipso, you are confusing marketing with reality. I have made that mistake many times.

I suppose though that since I'm not aware of any other professional American football teams anywhere else in the world (although apparently it is starting to take off here in the UK) they can get away with saying ti's the World series because nowhere else plays it professionally (or do they? Is it big in places like Canada or Mexico or anywhere like that?)

Astros got there butts handed to them. They lost to the better team. Way to go Sox.

(Probably as a result of American colonialism in the Philippines and the huge American presence in Japan during the rebuilding after the 2nd world war) I would love them to bite the bullet and let some other teams play in a true World Series. I'm pretty sure the Americans would win but it would be fun to see if there were any upsets along the way.
